Perfect Private Camping

I was hesitant to leave a review- only because I want to keep this place to myself!! My boyfriend and I (and our pup) stayed here for two nights and it was absolutely perfect. After arriving and getting set up, the owner Brian stopped by as he was passing the site to say hello and make sure we had everything we needed. He was so kind and welcoming and even let us know that he had a landline at his place up the road if we needed it for any reason. The campsite itself is so beautiful and well maintained. It is VERY private- we did not see or hear another person the whole visit, apart from briefly meeting our host! Just a few steps from your parking spot, there is a tent platform, a picnic table, and a charcoal grill (with grilling utensils included!). We were able to leave most everything in our car as it was so close by, which was very convenient. A few steps down from there, there is a fire pit and benches overlooking the river. There is also a second area for another tent off to the side of the site. We actually pitched our tent there as we liked the little wooded nook down by the water. We slept great and heard nothing but the river all night! The river flowing through the site is beautiful. The water is so clear and there are lots of spots to play in the little waterfalls and lounge in the water. It was too cold to swim while we were there, but we will definitely be back this summer to enjoy the water! The little outhouse is also a great touch. It was well made and very clean and was stocked with sanitizer and toilet paper (and a cute little guestbook!). Brian has clearly put a lot of love and care into this magical place. It was even better than we had expected. Location is perfect. Host is kind and communicative. Our best camping trip yet. We can’t wait to be back, and will definitely be bringing friends! Thanks again, Brian!

Secluded, tranquil and gorgeous!

So, while I believe whole heartedly in the title, I must also disclose that I am the owner of Mountain Creek Rest, and that I rented my own tent site to be sure that The Dyrt's rental platform would perform properly for future guests!

With that said It is true that the Heartstone tent site at Mountain Creek Rest is secluded, romantic, and stunningly beautiful! My exclusive parking was right next to the tent platform, picnic table, and charcoal grille!

The bathroom was just off to the side, and was clean and fresh.

The campsite also had a firepit area with benches overlooking the tumbling Squally Creek!

I hope that you, as a prospective guest, will come and see for yourself what a wonderful spot this is.  Truly Yours, Brian
