Santeetlah Creek Dispersed Sites (Nantahala NF)

Description

Deep in a steep-walled hollow of the Nantahala National Forest, this string of numbered creekside sites runs along Santeetlah Creek on a long, rough forest road — about 30 minutes of washboard and ruts from the paved highway. Each site comes with a metal fire pit and grate, a tent pad, and a lantern hook; site A9 has a pit toilet. No cell signal reaches here, even with boosters, and the forest road is gated closed from December through March.
