Woodstream Campsite

Creek rafting and fishing draw many campers to Woodstream Campsite, a privately managed campground in Gainesville where a trout stream flows throughout the property. The forested sites provide electric, water, and sewer hookups for RVs, while tent campers can access creek-side spots with direct water access.

Several sites sit directly along the creek, allowing campers to fish for trout or launch rafts right from their campsite. The campground features multiple playgrounds, miniature golf, a game room, and basketball court for family activities. A camp store stocks supplies at reasonable prices. The facility recently added a saltwater pool to complement the existing swimming pond. Bathrooms require updating but remain clean, though shower costs vary inconsistently between quarters and free access.

Road noise from nearby traffic can disrupt evening quiet, as one recent visitor noted. The campground requires minimum two-night stays and welcomes pets. "One of the coolest things was rafting on the creek," observes Stephanie B. about the water activities. WiFi connectivity and campfire permissions add convenience for longer stays.

Families with children find the most value here, given the variety of on-site recreation and direct creek access that eliminates the need to travel elsewhere for water activities.

Rip off

Have to stay at least 2 nights. Employees say one thing. Then boss charges me even though I was told it was okay. Aren't willing to reason with. Also traffic very loud at night

A great campground

We went during their Christmas in July weekend. They had a good list of activities from cookie decorating to visits with Santa. The store is small, but fairly priced. A salt water pool had just been added and was going to open soon. One of the coolest things was rafting on the creek! There was also mini golf and multiple playgrounds. A lot of the sites were right on the creek. The scenery was beautiful. The tent site we had, had access to the creek which was neat. The bathrooms are outdated, but clean. Some of the showers cost a quarter and some don't, which was peculiar. Overall, one of the better campgrounds we stayed at this year. I would definitely recommend this for families which kids of any age.
