Best RV Parks & Resorts near Prewitt, NM

This RV Park is well advertised along the highway saying $20 for full hookups. Those sites were all full - mostly with long term tenants, but they had a group of sites with electric and water, no sewer... same price. We took it for two nights, then decided to stay a third night because our next reservation wasn’t for a few days. This RV Park is sandwiched between too roads, so there was quite a bit of low-speed traffic noise. The park could use a little cleaning up and mowing, but it wasn’t terrible. Some of the electric and water sites are basically on the park road, but there are some a little better. They do have a small laundry area, but we didn’t use it. We didn’t use their shower facilities either. They do provide free cable which was a big draw for my husband - Monday Night Football!

Rv park has nice level sites with full hook ups. We've stayed here a few times for just one night. Ate at the casino once. I had the buffet and would give it 2 stars. My wife ordered a meal and it was considerably better. Great place for a stop on I40.

We loved this RV park for many reasons. Friendly people, creative vibe, nice campground, cozy cabins, full hookups for RVs, beautiful spot, free-range chickens, pet friendly, plus a yurt with enchanting wind chimes, spiritual labyrinth, a gong, art and healing artifacts. Not to mention the groovy Ancient Way cafe which was closed when we were there (April 2021) but opening next month. My parents stayed in the cabin and loved it, we stayed in our camper van. We really enjoyed talking with some of the folks who live there and it’s a very welcoming community. Feels like home. Morro National monument nearby is spectacular. We’d love to return and stay for a few weeks. Special spot.

We stayed here two nights, one going and one coming back. This is a clean, simple family run camp ground in Gallup, NM. It’s basically a large gravel camp ground with few trees, but very well maintained. There are like 177 sites, and very few long term campers here. We liked it for what it was and the price. Recommend it if you need a stop for the night.

Well run campground with full hook-ups and all the facilities are in good condition. Great management. They even offer "free coffee provided in cups." Good, quiet layover from point A to point B.

More a stopover Park, Red Rock is nestled amongst beautiful sandstone cliffs that are mesmerizing. There are full hook ups available, and bathroom/showers as well. Take a hike to Bell Rock, or gaze night skies.

Stayed in a full hook up, pull through site and everything went smoothly. It has a couple of dog runs, but they are too small for play. Not much dog walking space without cacti. I was most excited about the brewery on-site, but sadly I was too tired once we got there. Would stay again for a chance to drink the beer.

My husband and I were skeptical to stay at such an uber patriotic site on stolen land, (we are NOT AT ALL the target audience) but it exceed expectations at every turn. Truly a 10/10 experience from staff, to sites to amenities.

We only stayed the night, but there was so much to take advantage I was almost disappointed we didn’t stay longer.

Huge pool, large chess game, community dinners (no vegetarian/ vegan options) ice cream socials, camp store, etc.

Nice bathrooms, didn’t use laundry. WiFi and ATT& Verizon worked at site. Gravel sites needed leveling with full hook ups. Picnic table came with site.

This is a really nice RV park on the West side of Gallup with easy access to I-40. It was a perfect overnight stop but would be good for longer stays as well. Access through the park is great, sites are gravel, level, and good size. We had a pull through site which was about 80 feet long and nice and wide. They also have back in sites and tent sites. We had a full hookup site and the connections were in great shape and located just where they needed to be. There are some trees between some sites but most of the area is pretty open. Some of the trees are large enough to block a satellite dish. They offer cable TV but we did not try that. They have free wifi which was decent. The restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms were clean and good size as well. There is a small dog park in the back and there is also a dump station. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also have a large gift shop and a small area with groceries. They offer a barbeque on some nights which is cooked right there behind the office. Cell service from AT&T and Verizon was great. We paid $37 for one night with Escapees discount. There is clear pride of ownership here.

Called day of and was able to reserve a 30AMP spot with full hook ups $39. As other reviews mentioned it is exceptionally clean, there is pride in ownership and America with a life size carved memorial to the armed services. Great play area for kids, giant chess and a pool (closed due to Covid). They were selling homemade pie and pulled pork sandwiches at check in also which was a fun surprise. A few cute log cabins to rent also. All gravel and not a lot of trees, no view but a clean and safe overnight for sure!

Lavaland is a nice rv park, but focused on the older community. registration was easy and online. Check in was simple.

There is no kid amenities at this property. There is a small dog run. No grass.

The property is still under construction in some spots. Newly cement pads and updated electrical (which wasn’t available yet). New asphalt road around campground; still loose and bumpy for trailer driving.

Restrooms were clean, but there was little toilet paper available, and no soap and paper towels. Showers were newly renovated. Fresh paint in bathrooms.

Brewery onsite. Cute . No food available. But you can order from dominos to be delivered. Outdoor patio and Jenga.

Very nice, clean rv park. Friendly staff and well organized. Nice Patriotic theme.

Avertize it with $ 22 and Good Sam discount. But they charging you $ 24.89 Not a quiet place. Small place.

As we where driving to our next destination I stopped to check out this National Monument. Plenty of parking and even easy access with my 34ft 5th wheel. There are two trails to hike, I was a little short on time and just did the shorter one in about 30 minutes. This hike takes you along the base of the cliffs and to a natural pool of water. Trails are well maintained. I also saw they had an RV park there at the Monument but was limited to trailer under 27ft. Worth the stop and was dog friendly as I took my dog on the hike.

Inexpensive and nice sites with full hookup. Just here for 1 night. Freeway is close with road noise.
