A beautiful, quiet place to stay.

JoAnn was being modest in only giving her park 4 stars, this is a 5 star park in my opinion. They take cash, check, or card which is very convenient. When we arrived the staff showed us our spot and helped direct us in. We made use of the showers and toilets and they were both immaculately clean, they even provide clean towels should you forget one. We were able to use our Passport America discount but would have payed full price for the comfort and amenities that Mountain Meadows offers. We will definitely be staying again if we find ourselves near the area.

Nice flat spots

Just stayed here one night. We stayed in spot number 6, 30A hookup. The space and the view of the mountains was very nice, but the bath house may as well have been non-existent. The ladies room didn’t have any functioning showers and only one working toilet. The men’s room had one working toilet and one working shower, both looked and smelled like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. The water from the shower never stopped smelling putrid. Not sure if it was the propane heating he water or sewage mixing in with it. Either way I hardly felt cleaner after the shower. If you are a single woman and need to use facilities I would not recommend staying here.

A little slice of paradise in west Texas

Historic Prude Ranch! Such a lovely staff, they were incredibly accommodating and helpful. We stayed in the lower rv spots near the road because there was apparently a large group of kids staying in the upper spots. The traffic at night is nearly non-existent (at least in March) and doesn’t cause a distraction at all. This is a great place for birdwatching as there are a large variety of species that live there. We’ve been told of the craziness during the summertime when all of the kiddos show up, so be sure to plan for that. Our time there was very peaceful :)

Quirky park with stunning views

We drove in after dark and were greeted and driven around by the amazingly friendly Megan. She got us set up in our spot in no time. We brought our own camper van to stay in buy they also offer extremely unique trailers and tents to rent. Waking up to the views of the mountains was an unforgettable experience and we are truly envious of those that get to live in them. We will definitely be back for a more lengthy visit :)

Beautifully quiet and flat property

Nestled right next to the entrance of Big Bend Ranch State Park and only 8 minutes from Presidio, this park has tons of spaces with plenty of room to have your own little slice of the desert. We stayed in spot 69 because we are immature, but all of the spots offer great views and peace and quiet. Maxine was the one running the show when we stayed and she keeps the bath house and laundry room spotless. She knows a lot about the nearby area so be sure to ask if you have any questions. We stayed 2 non-consecutive nights and will be back again when we are in the area :)

Very quiet, very clean with a grand view of the stars.

Stopped in just for night. We arrived after dark and everyone was respecting the quiet hours. Our site was mostly level after a little adjusting. The bath house was very clean, wifi was strong and all the hookups worked great! Unfortunately their office was unexpectedly closed with no notice or sign on the door. After talking with the maintenance guy I learned that the owners were gone for the week for Christmas. While it was a minor inconvenience for me, I'm glad that the owners were able to be with their loved ones during this holiday season and still run a great RV park. Will definitely stay again if we're in the area, and hopefully be able to check out their shop next time!

Spacious campsites with scenic views

We arrived here on a Friday afternoon during the middle of a small snowstorm that cleared up by the evening to make for a beautifully sunny yet snow-covered campground weekend. The office was practicing safe COVID prevention measures and we were able to check in safely. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains is truly awe-inspiring. This seems like a very family-friendly park that feels so far out despite its easy accessibility. Keep in mind that if you stay during the cold months they will not have water hookups available. Electricity worked great though!

Quiet, beautiful RV site right off the highway

Stopped here just for the night. They provide a means to check in and camp during afterhours using cash or credit card. When we arrived it was dark but the property looked well-maintained and every resident was respecting the quiet-time hours. Our pad was nice and level and all the hookups worked great! We rolled out before the office opened so we can't say much about the people themselves, but the experience was what you would hope and expect.
