Convenient to I-40

This gated campground is first-come, first serve.  It is full hookup and contains 30 pull thru sites.  You can call in advance to ask if they have space, but in all likelihood there will be plenty of room (only a quarter of the sites were full when we stayed on a weekday  in June).  Expect no frills though good, free wi-fi.  Road noise was moderate.  You check in at the gas station to pay and get the gate code.  Felt reasonably safe for being right off the interstate.  If you don't want the hook-ups and added safety, there is a large gravel lot adjacent to the gas station where you can boondock.  Would stay again.
