Milan Hill State Park contains this established campground in Gorham, New Hampshire, operated by the state park system and open from mid-May through late October. Sites run $29 to $50 per night, with full hookup options available including electric, water, and sewer connections for RVs up to 35 feet. Access is flexible: drive-in, walk-in, and hike-in sites all exist within the park, though at least one reviewer noted that a particular site required walking in along a trail, which posed difficulty for someone with a mobility limitation. Road conditions during the visit included active construction traffic, so checking current access conditions before arrival is worth the effort.
The campground sits on open terrain, and the fire tower at the top of Milan Hill is a consistent draw. From the tower, campers get broad sightlines across the North Country landscape. Madison G. notes "lots of hiking trails and a great firetower in the park," and reviews also mention day trips to nearby waterfalls and lakes as a common way to fill time. Sites tend to be private despite the open terrain, and the campground generally runs on the quieter side.
Yurt rentals are available here, a detail worth noting for campers who want a roof without hauling a tent. Bathroom facilities are pit toilets. Pets are permitted, alcohol is allowed, and picnic tables are provided at sites. Nearby alternatives include Sunshine Valley RV Park to the north and Cedar Pond Campground to the northwest. Reservations are available and recommended, particularly for yurt bookings in July.
