Perfect Camping Adventure in White Mountains

This campsite sounds like a perfect spot for nature lovers who enjoy rugged terrain and peaceful surroundings. The mix of wooden platforms, nearby water sources, and bear protection measures shows how well-prepared it is for group camping. Exploring trails like the Appalachian or enjoying the views from Mount Washington would make the trip even more memorable— almost like the adventure and excitement you find in an android game.

Great trip for the whole family!

Nice 2.7 mile hike in from the AMC highland center. Stopped at Gibbs Falls on the way up. Tentsite is 0.8 from the summit of mount Pierce and 1.6 from mount Jackson summit, so great base camp location. Site has composting toilet for bathroom, very clean! There is a spring that runs past the site that service as the sites water source. There is a ten dollar fee per person per night, no reservation needed. I stayed with a group of four and our two dogs. Dogs are allowed, but must be on leash if they are not well trained. Caretaker was friendly and helpful, gave us great advice for our hike. This is a great spot!

Hikers Only

This is a beautiful camping area with several tent platforms , in the white mountains . It is an easy 3 mile hike for an adult , I did it with my 5 year old in tow. It is managed my friendly care takers and has a pit toilet and a bear box for your food. There is also a mountain hut near by with bathrooms and fresh water. The site is located just below Mt. Pierce and is tucked in the trees.
