Walking distance to shops, breweries, and restaurants in Lincoln and North Woodstock gives Maple Haven Campground an unusual setup for a forested campground. Sites vary in type: tent sites, RV hookups with electric, water, and sewer connections, and cabins are all available. Some sites back up to a creek, though at least one reviewer noted the stream ran dry during a drought year. The campground sits in a wooded setting, and sites tend to run large, with one group fitting a 30-foot camper plus two large tents and still having room to spare.
Showers are available but require quarters. Bathrooms are limited relative to the number of tent campers the campground can hold, so timing matters during busy weekends. The camp store carries minimal supplies. WiFi is available on-site. Jeannine D. sums up the general atmosphere as a "laid back, relaxing campground," which aligns with the mix of long-term and short-stay guests the site attracts. At least one camper stayed for a full month.
The campground runs from Memorial Day through Columbus Day, with rates between $38 and $42 per night. Reservations are accepted, and the campground allows pets. Nearby, Lost River Valley Campground and Maple Haven Campground & Cottages are among the campgrounds near North Woodstock worth comparing when planning a White Mountains trip. Book ahead for summer weekends, when tent sites fill quickly.
Description
Located in the heart of New Hampshire's majestic White Mountain Region, Maple Haven offers its guests a beautiful setting and comfortable stay within the granite state. People say location is everything and we strongly agree, Maple Haven is nestled right in the hub of the North Country's bustling gateway. Our campground is within walking distance to the many quaint shops & dining establishments in both towns of North Woodstock and Lincoln and just mere minutes from some of the area’s most sought out natural and man-made attractions. The campground has a wide variety of wooded, grass, field, pond & brook-side tent and camper sites as well as five camping cabins. Over the last several years, we have done an extensive remodel of the campground including a new office, camp store, game-room, playground and bathroom/shower facilities. Many new campsites have been added as well, offering onsite water, sewer and electric. For the last two years a tasty attraction has been our ice-cream window, whipping up and soft serving some of the most amazing homemade New Hampshire ice-cream for our campers and passerby's alike. We hope you will pay Maple Haven a visit this season for either a camping trip or a cone and enjoy all our beautiful area has to offer!
