Equestrian Campground in Lahontan State Recreation Area is situated near rolling hills and open plains. Temperatures range from highs in the 90s during summer to lows in the 20s in winter. Nearby, visitors can explore Lahontan Reservoir for fishing and boating or visit Fort Churchill State Historic Park for a glimpse into local history.
Description
No hook-ups. RV & Tent welcome, max 60 feet. Vault toilets, picnic table and fire ring. A camping limit of 14 days in a 30-day period is enforced. Sanitary dump station facilities are available near both entrances to the park. NOTE: Showers and flush toilets are CLOSED during the off-season from October to May.

This park has been winterized for the season. All showers and flush toilets are closed for the season. Port-a-Potty facilities are available at Developed 7 Campground. Facilities will reopen in the spring, weather dependent.

From the park entrance in Silver Springs, follow the road until the pavement ends and turns to gravel. Continue on the gravel road until you see the sign for beaches 9 & 11. Turn right and follow the road to the equestrian area.
