Perched roughly 5 miles up Ella Spring Road in Nevada's BLM Caliente field area, this large level gravel lot sits at the Ella Mountain Trailhead with open panoramic views and reliable sunset exposure to the west. Established fire rings, shade, and some wind shelter make it a comfortable basecamp, and the maintained gravel road is passable without high clearance — though 4WD is worth having for the sandy bypass sections around the steeper grades. Cell signal is strong here, and the open sky suits satellite connectivity.
