Desert National Wildlife Range Dispersed near Corn Creek

Description

Mojave Desert scrub stretches across the lower reaches of Desert National Wildlife Range, the largest national wildlife refuge in the lower 48 states, just north of Las Vegas. Pullouts along the gravel road toward the Corn Creek Visitor Center offer open overnight camping — flat, quiet, and uncrowded — with westward sunset views and a soft glow of city lights on the southern horizon after dark. Access is subject to a refuge-wide rule: entry is permitted only between 4am and sunset, so plan to be in place before the gate closes for the evening.
