Description
Open high-desert flats on BLM land just east of Great Basin National Park, this gravel-access pullout sits roughly a quarter mile off the highway opposite the Baker cemetery turnoff — close enough to the park to make it a natural staging spot. Wide eastern views of the Snake Range dominate the horizon, and a few picnic tables are on-site. The terrain is exposed and wind is common; note that the area also serves as an informal shooting range on BLM land. Take the north access track, which is well-maintained gravel — the southern approach requires four-wheel drive.
