The small lake at the park's center draws anglers and walkers alike, with a paved path circling the water and benches positioned at intervals along the shoreline. No boats or swimming are permitted on the lake, but the walking trail, an arboretum, and a fenced sand volleyball court round out the activity options on site.
Sites are paved, level, and close together, with full hookups available for RVs up to 50 feet. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Tent campers and bikepackers also find the setup workable, with showers and electricity access at low cost. Two fenced dog runs sit within the park, and a playground is positioned away from the camping area. Reviewers note that non-camping vehicles pass through the campground frequently, which contributes to daytime noise. A freight rail line runs behind the lake, with trains audible from the sites every few hours after dark.
