Verdon Lake State Rec Area
Verdon Lake State Recreation Area is near Verdon, Nebraska, and features flat terrain with a mix of grasslands and wooded areas. Temperatures range from lows around 20°F in winter to highs near 90°F in summer. Campers can explore Indian Cave State Park and the Missouri River, both accessible within an hour.

Verdon offers 20 Basic campsites in its shady campground. Primitive restrooms are available.
Camping at Verdon State Recreation Area is all first-come, first-served, and campers register their nightly camping fees in a raised, locked box called an Iron Ranger. Self-service envelopes are provided the Iron Ranger station, which is located near the park entrance (check or cash only). On-site camping informational signs are provided to help guide campers with the self-registration process.

From Omaha Take Hwy 75 south, turn south on Hwy 73 - located on the north side of the road 1/2 west of Verdon. From Lincoln Hwy 2 to Nebraska City, Hwy 75 south, then Hwy 73 south - located on the north side of the road 1/2 west of Verdon. From Kansas Take Hwy 75 north, then Hwy 73 south - located on the north side of the road 1/2 mile west of Verdon.
