Water enthusiasts will find direct lake access at Canyon Ferry Lake KOA, a year-round campground that accommodates RVs up to 55 feet with full hookups. The property sits on open terrain overlooking Canyon Ferry Lake, with tent sites currently being upgraded to include water and electricity connections. Mountain and lake views extend across the campground from most sites.
The facilities consistently earn praise from visitors, with Betsy T. noting the "cleanest and nicest bathrooms I've seen in a long time." The on-site store stocks rotating food selections and camping supplies, while a playground provides entertainment for families. Showers cost $5 for non-guests. WiFi reaches throughout the property, and the dump station handles RV waste needs.
Sites offer minimal shade coverage across the open layout. The campground provides direct water access for fishing, boating, or swimming in Canyon Ferry Lake. Silos Campground sits less than half a mile away for additional options. Wind can pick up during storms, but the exposed position also delivers unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape.
Reservations book easily through KOA's website, and pets are welcome throughout the property. The campground serves as a base for exploring the Helena National Forest region or simply enjoying lakeside camping with modern amenities.
