The Home Depot — Bozeman

Overnight parking at this Home Depot lot in Bozeman is free and requires no reservation, though at least one reviewer reports that a store employee stated the location does not officially permit overnight stays. Road construction on the main access road has caused turning restrictions at times, requiring drivers to pass the entrance and loop back. The lot accommodates large rigs and 18-wheelers. No hookups or restrooms are provided. Cell service is listed as available. Those camping near Bozeman on a tight budget may find this useful as a one-night stopover, but the unofficial status makes it a better fit for travelers comfortable with some uncertainty.

This Home Depot location serves as an overnight parking spot with mixed experiences regarding permission policies. Campers found it quiet with minimal disturbance, though road construction may affect access and noise levels.

Ok Spot to sleep

Ok spot to sleep for the night there is a lot of construction on the main road. We weren't able to turn left into the parking lot. Had to go up and turn around.

Stayed no issues, called next night and they said no.

Stayed the night, no issues, quiet and there were a few other cars in the lot. I was there when employees left and never got the knock. But, I got slightly nervous to stay another night, I ended up calling and the worker explicitly said they don’t allow overnight parking. Ended up paying at another spot. So take all that for what it’s worth.

1st HD overnite

We usually stay at a 24hr planet fitness if there's one in town. There is one just across the way, BUT they had signs saying no overnight parking. So we jumped on The Dyrt and saw this Home Depot as a potential. There was one large RV here when we got in around midnight. Then an 18 wheeler at 4am (Yes unfortunately I didn't sleep; my travel partner was snoring.) Pics taken at 8am. No one bothered us & this is a really nice area.
