Small no frills fishing access campgound

Not much to say about the camping at Selkirk Fishing access camping area.  The pluses are that it has a vault toilet and free camping.  Three site with picnic tables, two had rock fire rings on just had a burned spot in the grass.  One of the site will give you plenty of privacy as it is surrounded…

Nice City Park and Campground

This is a large park for a small town.  The campground mostly caters to the RV set with 20 pull through sites with hook ups.  Their are two tent camping sites with tables and fire pits, but room for more if you don't want a table and fire ring.  Tent camping is just $12.  Two other possible…

Good overnight stop

This is a clean well kept basic campground right off the highway. The Dyrt description is a little confusing, no dump station, water only. Nevertheless we were happy to find it as a quick night stop. Road noise minimal, a few airplanes took off from the airport while we were there, but were not too…

Decent place for a night

Not a bad place to stay for a night. It’s right next to the highway so it’s easy to access but there’s also a decent amount of car noise. We were awoken by the sound of trucks around 6:30am. Bathrooms/shower in the nearby convenience store are fairly clean but close at 10 pm.

Nice little lake that was pretty busy

I stayed here for a weekend in a tent. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and most "camp sites" were taken (its mostly just pull off the road and park style camping from what I could see; I don't think there are very many official camp spots), but we were able to find a spot. There is some shade…

Great stopover place

Camped for one night between White Sulphur Springs and Glasgow MT. Clean park with plenty of room to space out. Just pull in and pick your spot. Only charge is they accept donations. We'll maintained and used by many as it is also a little rest area off the highway. Grocery store accross the…

Crystal Lake 2017

This would have been a 5 star review, but most of the trees that made this area magical have had to be cut down due to beetle infestation. Lake is gorgeous and crystal clear. Hiking trails to an overlook and the ice cave are marked.

Perfect for an overnight

City park and rodeo arena, first come, first served. This is a great over-nighter spot. We did not unhitch, almost totally level. Arrived at 5:30pm. Plenty of spaces. A few more RVs came in around 6:30pm. Still a few spots available, both electrical and primitive. Flush toilets on-site. Worth the…

Beautiful and rustic

Crystal Lake is a beautiful area, very much worth the drive.  There is a lot of gravel and one lane roads going in with a few sketchy spots where you are looking straight down off the side.  Campground is not kept mowed as well as others we've been too, but really adds to the pristine natural…

Comfortable stay year round

Cabin stays cool in the summer and has wood stove for cold winters. Propane stove makes cooking easy. Creek nearby for water (or campground a few miles up road has well and spring with potable water). Lots of activities nearby rock hounding/fossils, hikes, small waterfall, swimming in creek.

Park close to historic township

Park has good sites. Only a few trees though. Facilities are good. Management is good. Town is very historic. A good staging location to visit the wilderness areas where Elk herds roam in the evening. Great fun!

Beautiful remote campground

This campground has 10 sites with Spring Creek running through it. The price was $7 per site. Our site #5 backed up to the creek. You need to drive up a narrow paved road then a wider graded gravel road then make a sharp turn down to the right. Sites aren’t big but we did see some hunters in a…

A delightful refuge.

A very nice small town town campground east of Montana’s front range. Several level pull-through RV sites with electricity. Dumpster and water hydrant near by in the campground. Large new community playground adjacent to the RV sites. Sparsely used in October/November. 14 day limit. We look…

I love this place so much. This was my first time camping in Montana. It was breathtaking for me. The lake was so peaceful and clear. The trail around the lake is a nice walk to see all the different views around it. The meadows were full of wildflowers in the summer. The campground is a small…

Nice for the week

Stayed here for the week while traveling through the area. They have laundry, showers, bathrooms, WiFi and sites have full hookups. Most people staying were only there for a night or two passing through. They allow dogs and do have a pet area with bags to pick up after your pet. The rv park is…
