Holland Lake Campground

We got one of the FF sites. And lucked out with site 18. Amazing lake front site. Flushing toilets and wood available. Super quiet. Even on 4th July. LOVED it! Highly recommend the waterfall hike too

We had a really nice couple of mid week nights here. We couldn’t get two consecutive nights in a row so had to move spots, but it wasn’t a big deal. Our daughter braved a chilly swim and there were lots of dirt roads and little trails for the strider bikes. Bring bug spray, the mosquitos are out. They really go nuts when you first pull in but relax after a few minutes. Keep an eye out for bears. We saw a black bear across the road from the campground. The closest cell service is just outside of Seeley Lake.

This is a good Forest Service campground in a beautiful spot on Holland Lake. The only issues we had were that it is not terribly remote so there are a lot of huge fifthwheelers who think they should have the best spots and they are willing o fight for them. (It’s always other campers that lower the tone…)

I was just here for one night but i liked it a lot clean toilets and good sites. Cash and check only

You will not be disappointed camping here! It’s a gem. Had a blast and was lucky to see a moose swim across the lake from our canoe.

We love this campground! The views are gorgeous, the sites big, the pit toilets clean, and the people friendly. At the lodge(and the campground now, too, I believe) you can rent kayaks and/or paddle boards. The hike to the waterfall is beautiful, and swimming and snorkeling in this lake are wonderful due to the clarity and purity. One can also take a fun hike all around the lake in four or five hours(but be sure to bring bug spray) and walk over to see the horses in the adjacent horse campground. Why it didn’t earn five stars: the road to the campgrounds are gravel and heavily trafficked, which means that it can get pretty dusty, creating a blanket of dust over the lake if a busy weekend. Also, because the vast majority of users are kayakers and paddle boarders, the lake’s shape and smaller size mean that it can be a challenge for motorized users to keep distance from them. Overall, a lovely, natural lake.

My husband and I camped at Holland Lake Campground in July 2020. The campground host was really friendly and helped us out a lot. There are several trails to go on atv rides and you could get out on the lake too. The host have a kayaks you could rent. There's Holland Lake Lodge too but I think you have to book it way in advance to get a room. We camped in our tent while most other campers there had RVs or campers. It's comfortable as long as it doesn't rain on you. There are bathrooms that are fairly clean for a campground with a sink, soap, and TP. The view of the lake is gorgeous and they do fireworks on the lake over 4th of July. If you need to go for a drive to look for food or anything, there's a Mercantile down the main road a few miles and you can also drive to Seeley (in town). There's a gas station in Seeley with really good hot stuff pizza. Anyway we had a really good time out there. Brought our fourwheeler and rode several trails, had a real camping experience.

Gorgeous. Kayak on the lake. Hike to the waterfall. Well maintained sites. Spacious. Mosquitos as big as baseballs! Bring spray.

Not for the person who wants amenities (no cell service, showers...just flush toilets) but if you want a beautiful spot, this is for you!

We’ve done our big family camping here for 30 years or more. It’s usually crowded and typical of a state park type campground. But it’s close to the lake and views there are spectacular.

Holland lake is an incredible mountain lake. The campground was quiet, the hosts were friendly, and there are paddle boards and kayaks for rent.

Holland Lake is in a beautiful setting with mountains, creeks and lakes. Nice camping spots for most all size vehicles. No electricity, sewer or water hook ups, There is a dump site and standing toilets.

This is, hands down, my favorite camping spot! You are right at the mouth of the Bob Marshall Wilderness for hiking exploring needs! Holland Lake is beautiful year round! There is a beautiful waterfall that is visible from the camp ground and is a fairly easy hike too. Camp ground has a lot amenities and the Holland Lake Lodge is also there if your in need of something a little extra! Don’t miss out!

Holland Lake is very pretty and the campground is in good shape. I didn’t get to go to the falls because there was a dead mule off the trail which drew attention of some grizzlies. The campground is well shaded which kept the temperatures down even on s hot day. The mosquitoes were pretty bad in early July.

Excellent views of Holland Lake and the waterfall. Quick access to swimming, boat launch, and hiking trails to falls, etc.

This is one of my favorite spots in Montana. The lake itself is gorgeous, and the camping spots are beautiful. There's even one site on the island, if you brought a canoe or kayak, as we did! There's a short hike up to the waterfall and a longer hike to upper waterfalls. The water on the lake is crystal clear, and while motor boats are allowed, people appreciate the quiet a bit more. There are views in all directions, the camping is quiet, the sunsets are beautiful. There are mosquitoes, but they're not terrible, so bring some bug spray and you should be fine. As always, please practice LNT!

Great place for families...clean, quiet, right by the lake. The hike to the Holland Falls is short but totally worth it! Clean lake perfect for swimming and paddleboarding. Will definitely come again!
