Bear Trap South

Situated along the Madison River in southwest Montana, Bear Trap South has roughly a dozen riverfront sites, each spaced apart from the next. Pay at the on-site kiosk; credit cards are accepted. Pit toilets are on-site. Sites nearest the river road can pick up noise from large trucks passing on the opposite bank, so campers sensitive to road noise may want to request a site farther back. BLM Trapper Springs Recreation Area sits less than a mile north for those exploring campsites near Norris.
