Fantastic hosts and beautiful scenery!

Our favorite campground to date! The hosts are wonderful, helpful, and kind people. The area is just beautiful, with the river only a few steps away, and there is plenty of room for people and pets to run and play. Lots of fun hiking trails nearby. Two big loops for campers (one first-come first-serve, one for reservations); the hosts were happy to point out the best spots to accommodate our 36-ft fifth-wheel. Clean restrooms with water spigots at each. We all love everything about this place!

Wonderful spot

Plain and simple. No electric, water or dump hookups but water and toilets available. Reported to get busy when the fishing is better than when we were there - apparently the river was too high.

If you’re looking for a camping escape, keep looking.

The best part about this campground is Ed, the very nice host. The rumble of eighteen wheelers is 24/7. Very few decent camp sites. Most are like camping in a parking lot. Worst sites are along side of the river. We were by the river and the site next to us had 7 tents and 3 vehicles parked on it. We left a day early as it’s more peaceful and relaxing at home.

Nice campground

This campground is a nice little escape. They have day use areas too. This is a nice place to kick back and float the Madison in tubes like a local. This stretch of river is known for floating and is well suited for this activity as well as fishing.

Nice stop along the way

This campsite worked out well for our stop between Glacier National Park and Yellowstone. It is in the dry part of Montana so each site is exposed to one another. The campground host is very particular. A group accidently set up camp in the day use area and we were in the spot right next to it. They were forced to move so instead of making them take their huge tent apart, we let them slide it down and share our site. The bathrooms are a vault toliet and well maintained. A few spots are right on the river and we we're able to watch people canoeing and fishing past us.

Nice spot by the Madison

17 sites with pit toilets. Some small trees but not a lot of shade....would be hot in the summer months. Several sites are riverside and the campground is well maintained. For some free dispursed camping, go on the other side of the river.
