Lewis and Clark State Park Campground

Within Lewis and Clark State Park, this state-managed campground accommodates RVs up to 96 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. The facility operates year-round with sites ranging from $15-35 per night, and reservations are available for campers planning ahead.

Paved roads throughout the campground make navigation easy for large rigs, while most sites provide at least partial shade according to multiple visitor accounts. The campground centers around a small lake that supports fishing and kayaking, with a playground nearby for families. Jason C. notes the layout allows parents to "see them from anywhere in the camp ground" when children move between play areas.

Park rangers maintain the facilities daily, with bathrooms featuring air conditioning and regular disinfectant cleaning. The campground includes a bike trail connecting to other park areas, and firewood is available on-site. Several reviewers mention the quiet atmosphere, though one visitor reported early morning motorcycle noise from adjacent private property. The facility includes ADA-accessible features and a dump station for RV users.

The campground works well for families seeking full hookups and lake access, particularly those traveling with larger RVs who need reliable utility connections and level sites.

Clean and quiet

It does cost about $25 a day, but you have electricity, and shade, and it is always quiet here. The park rangers are always cleaning or doing rounds to make sure everything is okay. Bathrooms have AC and are cleaned with disinfectant daily. Very clean campground and has a playground. Pet friendly.

Perfect quite campground

Always have great fun and enjoy relaxing here. There is a trail to walk or bike ride. Small lake to canoe or kayak or fishing crom the shore line. Whole campground is nice and level. If you have kids you can see them anywhere in the campground especially when they are playing with other kids in the playground located on the middle.

No thanks.

After a long drive full of incorrect directions, we reach L&C State Park in the early evening. We stop by a booth to ask where we pay, what's available, etc. The ranger we met was very rude, rolling his eyes, and looking incredibly annoyed that we even would ask such questions. We eventually found a spot (slim selection) and it is literally next to a fence of someone's backyard. We decided to stay because we already drove all the way here.

After we set up our tent, the ranger had an extreme change of tone and asks if we'd like to join the "leaf talk" occurring in about 30 min. What?! We made the best of it, until the morning when our fence friends roared up their motorcycles at about 630 AM.

Not a good experience. We have not been back and I wouldn't recommend it.

Nice Place

Very nice camping grounds. We had lots of fun around the fire that night but it was so hot that weekend it was a little miserable in the afternoons. The facilities were pretty well maintained. Would visit again.

Nice And Quite

Great Place to go and relax with friends, family or both. Lots of fishing nearby. A little more shade on the camp ground would be nice but still not needed to have a good time.
