Hide-A-Way Campground & RV Retreat

One of the worst parks in Branson. Area is completely overgrown, none of the sites are anywhere near level, and the facilities are in terrible shape. The manager is extremely rude, confrontational, and is almost never on the property. Our first day there I witnessed her in a yelling match with someone, she flicked them off as they left then proceeded to tell me to call the police if I see them again. She also warned us of a homeless camp only a few hundred feet behind the park, so I wouldn’t leave anything out you don’t want stolen. It’s not close to anything other than the touristy things, and it’s absolutely filled with ticks. The trails behind the park are filled with trash and debris, dog park is the smallest one I’ve ever seen. Work Campers beware. I originally came to the park to work, I received absolutely no training, and was told to come in and“play” with their booking software to learn. The manager spoke to me incredibly rudely and as if she was scolding a child. She was incapable of even giving me a time to come in and show me how the system worked. I was given a written list of job responsibilities, and was immediately bombarded with a plethora of things I have no experience doing that were not listed in the job description. I was subsequently fired before my official start date and the only reason given was I was not a good fit. My partner was also fired as he was there working Maintenence for the same exact reason. By far the most incompetent, rude, and confrontational manager I have ever worked for.

We didn't stay for long only a few days.  But we have visited years ago and enjoyed the park.  

We came back a little over a year ago and drove right back out.  Recently were told it had been purchased and the new owners were cleaning the place out so we decided to give it a shot with the family for a short visit to decide if we'd come back for a longer visit later.

We had a great time!  The place has been fully overhauled.  

They are still doing some odds and ends but it wasn't bothersome.  

The new manager is fantastic. she was so nice and is constantly running around planting and making sure everyone is doing well. 

There's a hand full of long term guests that remained and we were told that the new owners really cleaned out all of the problem guests making it such an enjoyable place for them that they want to do cook outs with the guests and meet new friends again.  

They are really working hard on making this place a great place for families to to come and have a good time and the guests are really appreciating all they are doing.  

Everyone we talked with was so happy to sit and chat and just get to know each other around the community fire pit.  

So happy to not have to go back to the state park now that this place is on track to being the great place it once was.

Was visiting my dad who stays in the park recently as a long term guest and have to say that they have done a lot the last few months under new management.  

My dad's neighbors were not the nicest people and they had two large dogs they allowed to crap everywhere and would never clean up their area.  

There were multiple complaints about the problem to the previous owners and nothing was done.  

The new owners came in, in December and quickly cleared out the problem guests made everyone clean everything up and made the place back to its former glory.  

They have also made it a point to personally know my elderly father and keep an eye on him for us so we know he is safe and being looked after while he enjoys the park with his dog.  

They have made sure that the spaces are clean.  Got rid of the unsafe guests who decided to take the place over and have made it a safe beautiful spot to stay once again!

So thankful they purchased the park and made it a safe and wonderful spot for the family to visit and a wonderful spot for my dad to enjoy his time.
