Very quiet all thru the day and night. Friendly people all round. 5 min to walmart, tractor supply, and many restaurants and gas stations. Spacious lots so you arent right up on each other. Theres rental lots and cabins by the night, week and month. Theres saved spaces for those who just want a pulling over night. Theres big rigs here and small ones. Vintage and brand new. These are friendly people you can sit a chair or 2 outside and not have someone pounding on your door at 7am yelling about a toy or a chair left out all night. This is our face in canton so far. Lovely place with country atmosphere. Pet friendly and spacious. All u need is right here. Thank you ms. Kay and staff.
TravelerNice campground. Clean place and friendly staff. This is a good stop to stay a night when needed. Not very private and just a camper lot without any nice views, picnic tables, etc. It worked for us as a quick overnight rest.
GuideWe will definitely come back to this campground. When you come to the campground , nightly rentals are first come first serve. You drive back and pick your available spot and go back to the office to pay. We were lucky to get a beautiful water spot this time. It’s clean and spots are a concrete pad. Right outside the campground is a Kroger across the street. It’s convenient to lots of things but tucked away as a quiet getaway.
LegendWe arrived late. Interaction with host was pleasant. Cooked dinner and went to bed. Played a game of disc golf in the morning which was great. But the 15$ camp charge we just weren't used to haha.
GuideLeroy Percy State Park is a small, but pretty state park with 16 full hookup campsites, 4 cabins and a nice disc golf course. Most of the campsites are shaded, at least for part of the day. Other than one other camper who appeared to have been there awhile, we were the only occupied campsite. Mosquitoes caused us to eat dinner inside our trailer, although it was otherwise nice enough to eat outside. The bathrooms were old, but mostly clean. The only exception being the handicapped men's shower which was a mess.
ScoutWe camped here Sept. 20-22 while we were in town to volunteer at the Sanderson Farms PGA golf tournament. I was very impressed with the amenities such as the laundry room, pool and bath house. The bath house was very clean and has private showers. The staff was very helpful. It is located right on the Ross Barnett Reservoir so it is a beautiful area. If you need anything, there is a Kroger grocery store right across the street from the campground. I was very satisfied and will stay there again for future tournaments.

ScoutWe were planning to stay a second night in a better location on the resevoir… so we moved to avoid the sound, fury and allergens of a half dozen lawn tractor mowers circling us. The management notified us that there would be a $20. Fee for changing spaces plus the fees for an additional night and were asked to return to our original site until check in time if we didn’t want to pay the additional 20 bucks.
We moved to the bathhouse, showered, hung out by the pool until check out time and departed for another campground. Sometimes management treats guests according to the rules of an HOA, versus the hospitality industry. It was kind of sad.
We did enjoy the site, the pool and the water views. We didn’t enjoy the sound of traffic and grounds maintenance early in the morning. We might return one day, but much wiser, indeed.
GuideIt’s close to lots of restaurants and any other store you would need anything from. The lake water is clean for the most part. There is a park right next to the campgrounds with different things to do such as disc golf and soccer goals.
