Fishing, boating, and riding the exposed lake bottom when water levels drop draw campers to North Graysport, a US Army Corps of Engineers campground set along Grenada Lake in northern Mississippi. Sites sit on concrete pads, some shaded by trees and others open, and the main campground roads are well-maintained and easy to navigate even with larger rigs. The campground accommodates RVs up to 42 feet.
Full hookups are available on select sites. Sites 31 through 48 include sewer connections, while all other RV sites provide water and electric. A dump station is also on-site. One reviewer noted arriving off-season to find only one other camper present, which suggests crowd levels vary considerably depending on the time of year. The bathhouse and additional restrooms may be closed outside peak season, so it's worth confirming what's open before arrival.
Cleanliness comes up consistently across reviews. Bruce F. noted that the campground "was very clean" during a New Year's stay, and found the bathhouse in good shape as well. One practical note for ATV and SXS riders: vehicles must stay on trailers within the campground boundaries, though the lake bottom provides riding terrain when water levels are low. Pets are welcome throughout.
Campers looking for camping near Grenada Lake have several options in the area, including Gums Crossing Campground to the north. North Graysport works well as a base for multi-day lake visits.
