Cook County manages Bass Lake, a walk-in campground that requires campers to carry gear from parking areas to individual sites. The setup works well for tent camping and backpacking, with several sites accommodating rooftop tents according to recent visitors.

Vault toilets stay clean, and each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. Firewood is available on-site, and the county allows pets and alcohol. Cell service reaches the area, though the walk-in access means this location suits campers comfortable with hauling their gear rather than those expecting roadside convenience. For additional camping choices, visitors can explore campsites near Bigfork or check out George Washington State Forest Larson Lake Campground less than two miles southwest.

Rustic Bliss

We love camping here! Definitely not for campers or rvs. Perfect for tents, backpackers, and a couple sites are good for Rooftop tents. Vault toilets are clean. Lots of picnic tables and fire pits.

Not worth it.

Used to be great about ten yrs ago, now it's changed and not for the better. Brought my family there for what was supposed to be a three day trip, we were there one night. Very loud camp neighbor's! RV campers who are drunk and loud, noisy generator's, camp spots are too tight together. Not worth the money or time!
