Camped here backpacking across Isle Royale on our first night hiking out of Windigo harbor. There was a fire pit provided and downed wood available for use. We did not have much luck with a fire as we got some evening rain. Site was big enough for a 2p and 1p backpacking tent. might have been able to squeeze one more in. Our site had nice trees for hanging hammocks and there was a vault toilet nearby. Logs for benches provided. There is a water source a short hike away from the campground at the Little Siskiwit River. It was fairly shallow during our stay in September 2023. Be sure to ask the ranger when you check in at port about water source availability as some are available certain times of year either due to water levels or algal blooms. Saw a bull moose on our hike out of camp.
