Sitting along the lakeshore within Isle Royale National Park, Pickerel Cove Campground is a National Park Service-managed site accessible only by boat or floatplane, as the island has no road connections to the mainland. No pets are permitted. Campers planning a broader circuit of the island may also consider Daisy Farm Campground — Isle Royale National Park or Belle Isle Campground — Isle Royale National Park as part of a multi-day route. Reservations through the NPS are strongly recommended, particularly in summer.
