Lakeside sites, busy campground
Typical state forest campground with picnic tables and fire ring, pit toilet, water hand pump. All sites are along the lake, most (all?) are on a small bluff above the lake with stairs or trail down to the shore. Arrived on a Saturday in July to find 75% full, but was able to get in. Pretty quiet for as busy as it was, woke up to the call of loons. 1 or 2 bars of Verizon with a booster.
Best place to camp.
I’ve camped here my whole life and everything about this state forest campground is on point. There’s 30+ spacious campsites all lake side! Multiple bathrooms along the way. Beach is clean and Sandy! And has tons of places to hike and explore. Definitely a great place to bring the family or just yourself!
