Melville 7 Lakes

Melville 7 Lakes sits in Cass County lake country outside Marcellus, Michigan, where a cluster of interconnected lakes gives the campground access to both calm water and all-sports boating. Drive-in and boat-in access make it reachable by land or water. Sites are large by most campground standards, though several have uneven terrain that works better for RVs with leveling gear than for tent camping on flat ground.

Water is the central draw here. Reviewers consistently mention the lake for boating and fishing, along with a small swimming beach and a playground on site. The campground connects to multiple lakes, and as one reviewer noted, that includes campgrounds near Marcellus territory where all-sports lake access is a recurring draw for the region. Electric and water hookups are available for RVs, and a dump station is on site. The shower house runs on quarters, roughly a dollar for nine minutes, so bringing change is worth remembering.

Two reviewers specifically called out the low noise level, and the campground allows pets and campfires. Reservations are available, which matters during summer weekends when lake-access sites in this part of Michigan tend to fill. Anglers and paddlers looking to range further have options nearby, including Goff Lake Campground and Hemlock Lake Campground, Inc, both within a few miles. If a multi-lake region with full hookups and water access fits your itinerary, Melville 7 Lakes is worth a look.

Many campers appreciated the large, quiet sites and friendly staff, particularly Judy. The campground offers family amenities like a playground and lake access, though visitors should bring quarters for the pay showers.

Don't forget quarters

Nice campground, Judy (the main lady there) was fantastic very nice and easy to work with. Sites were nice though most seem like you would be better off with a camper, our site was a little hilly but we found a nice spot for our tent and it worked out great! Also don't forget quarters for the shower house!! The lady that runs the shower house was nice enough to give me some but it is a dollar for 9 minutes witch seemed to be plenty of time for a camp shower. Over all great stay nice lake quiet campground, would recommend!
