Bay Mills Casino RV Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Operated by Bay Mills Resort and Casino in Brimley, Michigan, this RV-focused campground runs from May 1 through October 30 and accepts rigs up to 60 feet. Full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer run around $29 per night; partial hookup sites come in closer to $20 to $21. Reservations are available, pets are allowed, and a dump station is on-site for those passing through. Check-in happens at the casino hotel building across the road, not at the campground entrance, which catches some first-time visitors off guard.

Site quality varies noticeably depending on which section you land in. The older sites tend to run tighter, with trees that can block awning deployment and limited maneuvering room for longer rigs. The newer section, numbered in the 78 to 120 range, has larger, better-spaced pull-throughs that work more comfortably for fifth wheels and longer setups. The campground includes a bathhouse, laundry, and cable TV. WiFi is available throughout, with antennas placed every few hundred feet, though multiple reviewers describe the connection as unreliable, particularly during busier periods. Verizon users have reported two bars of cell service on-site.

The location works well as a base for regional exploration. Brimley State Park Campground sits a few miles east, and Chippewa Landing of Bay Mills is roughly a mile and a half north for those wanting water access. Campsites near Brimley cover a range of styles for campers with different priorities. As Sean N. put it, the campground is "close to the water and even closer to the casino." This site makes the most sense for RV travelers who want full hookups at a lower price point and don't mind the proximity to the resort.

A casino-adjacent campground offering competitive rates and full hookups. Many mentioned helpful staff and good value, though some noted power reliability issues and tight spacing in older sections.

Worked for a Week

We arrived at about 1:00 PM and wondered whether we go to the Casino parking lot or the campground(CG) on the other side of the road. We opted for going to the building at the CG entrance. Good choice as the check-in office is located there along with restrooms, showers, and laundry. Check in wasn’t exactly quick but we were offered a couple of sites(without any recommendations based on the size of our rig) and made the mistake of taking site 12 because it seemed to be the furthest from the road. The only good thing about the site for us was that it was along the dog run. This FHU pull-through was tight with trees preventing us from putting out awnings and we were VERY close to the neighboring sites. We had to reposition our rig just to get the slides out. Our picnic table was in good shape but our fire pit had garbage and grass growing up about a foot. The site was just long enough for our 5th wheel and truck so we had to park diagonally in front of the site. There’s a nice dog area(not fenced) across from this site but the poop bag garbage can had not been emptied in some time as it was overflowing. The first thing the next morning we went over to the casino hotel office to ask about moving to the 78-120 section where the sites are longer and better spaced. We had scoped out empty sites and asked for pull-through site 117 with FHUs, which was then assigned to us. The ladies at the casino were definitely more helpful than the gentleman who checked us in. We moved that morning to this better site. We got 2 bars on Verizon. The Wifi was below average for a CG this size, and even very early in the morning, it was mediocre. The water pressure was average at about 40 psi. However, the cable worked well with lots of channels. There was a laundry room with reasonable prices, which was convenient but not all the machines were working. We do not gamble and the food at the resort was nothing to write home about so not much of a draw for us. While the adjacent golf course was great, we’d need a more compelling reason to come back.

Got the job done

Close to the water and even closer to the casino. We used this as a base for seeing sites, mainly the locks. A bit wet while we were there but not to bad. The staff at the casino is nice and helpful. Have to check in at the casino and not the park which was odd. We parked and then went over as our rig was to bid for the parking lot at the casino.

Clean, all amenities, great price.

It's not a secluded get away being a large campground accross from the Casino but for what it is it's clean, full or partial hook-ups and the price for $20(partial hook-up) is a value.

Nice BIG Park!

Clean open campground that is quiet. Some road noise from local traffic. Close to food and fuel. Easy pull through sites. Check in is currently across the street at the hotel. Masks are required in the hotel/casino. Good sites. Decent park. Fit our 46’ fifth wheel with ease.

Great Wifi

29.00 a day with full hook-ups. 21.00 without sewer. All come with free cable tv and wifi antennas ever couple hundred feet so you get internet from any spot in the park. The newer side of the park has large spaces with plenty of room to stretch. No crazy rules here. Laundry machines are only 1.25 a load and the dryer actually dries.

Basically a field with power.

We stayed here for a wedding a couple of years ago. Brand new camper, maiden voyage so really excited. The folks in the office were nice and that is the only reason for the two stars. It is a grassy field with unreliable power. It was super hot and the park wasn’t even half full, yet our AC kept going out due to the power. The only reason to stay here is the casino across the street AND the state park is full or closed. I hate to be negative, but I would never stay here again.
