Sites run grass over firm ground, with water and electric hookups at 30 or 50 amp. Maneuvering room is tight given the peninsula layout, though rigs up to 50 feet are accommodated. Elks Lodge Campground Sault St Marie

This is a small, no frills campground. It does have a million dollar view of Saint Mary’s River, and front row seats to the freighters traveling into, and out of the Soo Locks. It has 5 sites with water and electric, 35 and some 50 amp. Also has picnic tables and fire rings. There are no sewer hook-ups, or a dump station. There is WI-FI, but rather slow. The sites are grass, but over a firm foundation. My jacks did not sink. The campground is built on a small peninsula jutting out into the river. It is not very wide, so maneuvering room is at a minimum.
