Quick outting on nice little lake

Nice USFS campground on a little inland lake at the bottom of Mission Hill. The campground had big sites. No problem fitting are 32 footer. The lake is good for swimming. We brought our paddle board and kayaks and a great time. We tried a little fishing and did catch a small mouth and a few small perch. Had to fill out water tank just down the road at the casino campground. Big pine day use on Lake Superior is just a few miles down the road. Kids love the cold water. Vault toilets were clean. Only negative was a noisy neighbor. There was no host on the host site.

Beautiful!

Beautiful campground. Lots of trees. Mostly secluded. Beautiful lake! Nice for swimming. We reserved three sites. Would recommend staying away from site seven. It’s very small. And the outhouses are practically part of the site! Rustic!

Awesome Upper Penninsula FS Campground

Great campground in the woods of the Upper Peninsula, pretty close to Lake Superior and we visited Tahquamenon Falls and the Sioux (Soo) Locks while we were there. The sites are spaced decently far apart and there's a nice lake at the campground.

love this spot

Passed through here while exploring the upper peninsula and loved it. Quiet and everything’s relatively spaced out. The lake is beautiful too.

Lovely Campground

Quiet, shaded campground right on Monocle Lake. Big wooded lots. Great camp hosts and pretty good AT&T service (3 bars) for the UP. Close drive to Lake Superior and the Point Iroquois Lighthouse with boardwalk and good rock finding. Highly recommend.

Quiet, clean and gorgeous!

It unfortunately rained for almost every minute we were here, but the campground itself was great! Larry the host was great. Plenty of firewood available at his site. Day use area had a clean beach and good water for bathing/swimming. Awesome hike up to Spectacle Lake Overlook nearby. Go to Pickles Bar and Grill in Brimley nearby! Our site down by the loop had plenty of space.

Good for kayaking and paddling.

Beauty and Serenity

This campground is a hidden gem, close to the small town of Brimley, Michigan where you can purchase forgotten items, visit the library, or visit local tourist attractions. The Lake clear and clean, and the camp is normally quiet. The vault toilets are kept clean and generator curfews are enforced. You can hear the quiet.

Perfect for the weekend

This campground was exactly what we were looking for. It was quiet, sites are far from each other, and it was only a short drive from where we wanted to go. We stayed in site 24, which was big, backed up against the woods, away from everyone else, and next to the bathrooms. The camp hosts were also nice! I highly recommend.

Pristine quiet lake campground

Stayed here in the beginning of July, and loved it. There were a lot of little hikes and views of Lake Superior nearby. Also, each campground is walking distance to monocle lake, which was a nice lake to swim in and look at. Pretty close drive to Tahquamenon Falls for day hiking.

Great fishing docks

We stayed at this lake twenty years ago on my first time to camp the UP. The lake was great for swimming, the fishing was awesome. Clean outhouses, and pump water was cold and clean. I’ve always wanted to come back. Very fond memories of this campground

Great Rustic Campground

Although this is a great family campground, most bigger Campers and Rvs can't stay here. There are many trees too close to roadways for turning corners, and many branches are hanging low overhead. We did manage after many attempts, to gently get our 42 foot fifth wheel toy hauler into a spot. We loved the warmer water of the inland lake for swimming with the kids, and the scenic hiking trail around the lake was great. We would definitely stay again in a smaller camper.

Sitenot sure of site number but it was a waterside spot
