Cute camp W/E dump station

Nice size sites, 50/30/20 electric, there are a few single picnic tables under shelters, nice small pond, tent sites two with W/E. Heated shower rooms, restrooms are open. Opened couple days early to accommodate a few early campers, I being one of them. Yes I would gladly stay here again!

Lots of privacy...and mosquitoes

We needed a place to stay the night near Lubec. This campground isn’t luxurious by any means but it has everything you need for an outdoors experience.

The campground has a sewer dump and potable water fill at the beginning of the campground. The hot showers are there too. Beware of spiders. The…

Fairy Head Campsite- 4 Stars for the Site itself but 5 stars for the views

Hiking along the Cutler Coast is a unique opportunity that if you get the chance to explore, you absolutely should. There are only 5 campsites total available along the Cutler Coast, 3 of them are at the Fairy Head. We approached the area via the Inland Trail, about a 5.5 mile hike from the trial…

  • Trail head
  • Toilet for the front...you don't want to see it from any other angle.
  • No number but at least we knew we were in the right spot.

Fun Lean-to on the Bay

We decided to spend the night at this park after having to adjust our plans due to high winds. Given our timing(early October), the place was almost entirely empty. We chose one of the small lean-to shelters for the night. There are a few of these and they do require you to walk your gear in a…

Wonderful campground

I stayed here in August 2020 on a trip downeast. What a great place. Campsite was right on the water. The bathrooms/showers were clean. There was a great playground for children. I will definitely go back!

Astounded that anyone could find negatives...

Let’s be real. Camping near ANY water, fresh or salt, includes high likelihood of bugs...warmer weather makes it worse, of COURSE. And perhaps predictably, any odor, fecal or otherwise, is amplified with heat...hence the effectiveness of scented candles, no?

I just spent the most splendid two…

Disregard Ashely’s bad review

One of the best campgrounds we’ve been to in America, beautiful views, close to amazing hiking (highly recommend bold coast trail). Fisherman’s wharf 20 mins away has great lunch with amazing view and service. Site 66 is very private with a short walk to site from your parking spot. We loved the…

Beautiful lake

Camped during Covid restrictions. Everyone seemed to be following the guidelines that were clearly posted by the campsite. The snack bar in the office/shop area was a great fallback plan if we were too lazy to cook, but wasn’t needed. People who ran the place were very accommodating. For some…

ATV & Equestrian Fun

This is the first campground we have stayed at that has ATV trail access, horse friendly camping, full hookups, pull through sites, tent camping, tent rentals, teepee rentals, "tiny bird cabin", and a tree house.

A must see!

Great camp on the bay

Great fresh air (breezy). If you come with a tent you will have a lot of personal space (compared to other campgrounds).

Beautiful friendly campground

Very cheap prices daily, weekly, and monlthy rates available. Has electric and water on each site. Washer and dryer available. Showers and bathrooms could be better but all together a fun place to go.

A Wild West experience!

This campground is absolutely adorable. RV, tent , Treehouse camping to camping out in a Teepee! I surprised my husband with the Teepee- we were not disappointed! A huge Teepee with a very comfortable queen size bed- a couch, table, area animal rugs , coffee maker and a fan if needed. We were asked…

Remote and private

3 secluded spots on a dead-end road. Wooded, path to the lake. Each site includes fire ring and picnic table, and share a pit toilet. Strictly carry-in, carry-out. Road into camp is dirt and some of it can be rough. Cars can make it just go slow. Atv trail access from camp - can ride to Lincoln,…

Gorgeous Coastal Backpacking along the Gulf of Maine

The coast of Maine offers very few places for overnight backpacking or even just seaside hiking. The Cutler Coast Public Reserved Land is one great option. The length of the hiking trails makes this the ideal, weekend getaway location for a two-night campout– just get there early. The sites are few…

  • Lunch stop and quick recharge along the coastal path. Loving our new E. Power bank and 21W foldable solar panel for keeping the camera and phone charged up!
  • The trail can be a bit soggy in the spring, so be prepared for muddy puddles.
