Nice large sites, easy river access, good for groups

Camped here with family—all adults, 3 tents. We all fit in the large site easily. Sites are wooded but not a ton of space/trees in between them. Some sites are right on top of the Fryeberg fairgrounds, was glad we didn’t have those. Our site was nice, about half way between the fairgrounds and river. Small beach/canoe put in at river was nice.

This campground allows day use and kayak/canoe launching, On weekends there’s a huge line up of people putting in to float down the river, which is busy and noisy. It calms down by afternoon.

Nice Backwoods Campground

I was here on a weekday with very few other people so no idea what it would be like on a crowded weekend. It's in a nice, open pine forest and there is a beautiful walking trail by the Saco River. I biked in so no idea about other utilities.
