Snow White Sanctuary

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Rescue animals set the tone at Snow White Sanctuary, a privately managed property in southwestern Louisiana where goats, horses, pigs, chickens, and dogs roam freely across roughly 24 acres of wooded grounds and ponds. The site sits in forested terrain near both a river and a lake, and the pond view is a consistent draw for campers arriving with RVs or tent setups alike. Pets are welcome and, according to multiple visitors, dogs can run off-leash.

Electric and water hookups are available for RVs, and the property also provides drinking water, showers, and WiFi. Sites are drive-in accessible, though walk-in options exist as well. The hosts receive frequent praise across reviews for being warm and attentive. One thing worth noting: Michael J. observes that "night critters sing with enthusiasm," so light sleepers may want earplugs.

Nightly rates start at $45, and reservations are available. Campfires are permitted. The property is small in scale, which keeps the atmosphere low-key and the crowd size manageable. Campers planning a longer stay in the region can also browse camping destinations near Orange for additional context on what the area holds. Those wanting a more structured RV experience nearby might consider Paradise RV Resort & Cabins or Texas Pelican RV Park as alternatives with different setups.

A real animal sanctuary

Very interesting menagerie of rescue and domestic animals roam the picturesque property beside a pond and woodlands. Night critters sing with enthusiasm; if this disturbs your sleep, bring earplugs.

Peaceful paradise

This location, the hosts, the animals and ponds all place you in a calm cocoon. My dog was thrilled to be allowed of leash. I loved the convenience of having electric and a beautiful pond view.

If you are an animal lover this is an easy 'yes' for a liason to stay.

Unique and Charming

This place is the most unique and charming site to stay.  We were greeted by gentle giant dogs (and a few neighbor dogs), a few goats, cute kids, and horses.  Woke up to a pig grunting which we found utterly adorable.  There is a great... I mean "Insane Sausage" place up the road you wont' want to miss.  Loved this place and would stay again.
