Hike-in access via Ollie Road puts this dispersed area inside Mammoth Cave National Park at a remove from typical drive-up camping. Two tent sites sit near a pond that feeds into the Green River, each equipped with a fire ring, lantern hook, and tent pad. Bring in all water or a filtration system, as the climb back out is significant. Pets are welcome, and the $8 nightly fee applies. Campers who prefer developed facilities can compare places to camp near Mammoth Cave National Park before committing to the hike. Nearby, Mammoth Cave Horse Camp sits roughly 0.3 miles northeast for those wanting a more accessible base. Come early in the season for clearer sightlines to the rock formations along the creek bed before full leaf cover sets in.
