Called to see if they had availability for the night after the office had closed, but a woman answered and gave us late check-in instructions. Clear list of available sites, amenities and prices. Pull-through site we chose wasn’t quite level, but close. The pull-through sites alternate direction of entry. Concrete pad, grassy areas in between on the door-side; neighbor’s hookups on the hookup side. Pad was long enough to stay hooked up and wide enough to have slides out, but if the neighbor on the hookups side has slides on that side, they’d be almost touching . Full hookups worked fine. Restrooms good, but the stall doors didn’t all lock. The freeway noise was pretty constant, and there was an occasional sour smell from the river, I guess. Would stay here again.
Beautiful place! We called ahead to reserve a site for the night. Arrived after the office had closed. Had a back-in full-hookups site that backed up to the walking path/sidewalk beside the river. Our site was long enough to stay hooked up. The campsite pads are level, wide enough for our slide without being on top of the neighbors, paved like the roads, with wide-enough gravel-and-cement areas between and beautiful mature shade trees everywhere. Our site had a big concrete picnic table and a small fire ring. Full hookups worked fine.
The River area was well-developed and well-used by the community as well as campers. It was a little disconcerting to hear people walking and talking so close behind our campsite, but we got used to it.
Bathrooms were clean.
We would definitely stay here again.
We called ahead to see if they had sites available for the night. Arrived just before the office closed at 7pm. Got a pull-through full-hookups site. The campsite pads are level, nice and wide, gravel like the roads, with wide grassy/dirt/gravel areas between and beautiful mature shade trees everywhere. Also several friendly cats acting as camp hosts, welcoming us at the office when we checked in, greeting us every time we stepped out of our rig, and checking out all the campsites and trees regularly. ☺️ Our site had a picnic table and a clay/Terra cotta statue of a bear eating honey, with a hole in his belly as a small fire ring. Most sites had a covered picnic table. Full hookups worked fine.
Bathrooms were ok; dead crickets on the floor.
We would stay here again.
We called ahead to see if they had sites available for the night. Arrived just before the office closed at 8pm. Got a pull-through full-hookups site. The campsite pads are level, nice and wide, gravel like the roads. Our site had a picnic table and a small rock fire ring. Full hookups worked fine.
Bathrooms were good.
We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful place! We called ahead to see if they had sites available for the night. Arrived just before the office closed at 6pm. The friendly hosts escorted us to our pull-through full-hookups site. The campsite pads are level, nice and wide, gravel like the roads, with wide grassy areas between and beautiful mature shade trees everywhere. Our site had a picnic table and a small fire ring. That part of the site was not level, which made it pretty and feel more removed from neighboring rigs, but we had to use our leveling blocks under our picnic table. Full hookups worked fine. This was a 50A site so they provided a pigtail converter for our 30A needs.
Bathrooms were so cute!
We would definitely stay here again.
We called for reservations less than two weeks in advance, and they only had one site left. If coming from the north-west, try to arrive before dark as the road over the hills to this place is beautiful, but narrow and forested with some trees very close to the roadway. The entrance road to the campground is quite steep. We arrived after the office had closed, so they had left an envelope taped to the door with our name and a map to our site. We were in the full-hookup, back-in RV sites connected with the cabins but they are across the street so they’re not too connected if you don’t know who’s in the cabin nearest you. Most of the other rigs in this row seemed to be long-term. We were on the end opening onto trees and the gravel cul de sac. It’s beautiful.
Pads are gravel and we did need to use several leveling blocks on our site, which made for a doosey of a bottom step into and out of our trailer. This end of the park is very quiet, with dark skies at night for stargazing and lovely field and forest sounds. Even though the office had closed a couple of hours before, the owner Bruce came by after we had set up to make sure we were in ok. Thoughtful!
The “patio” pad for the picnic table is 12” concrete blocks. It was mostly level, but not near the edge near our tow vehicle. Tripped a few times; these blocks should be redone.
We needed some trailer work while we were here, so asked the owner for recommendations. The manager Ed then came by after the guy had come to be sure we were pleased with the recommendation.
Bathrooms were a short walk up the hill to the office. Pretty good, though they often needed supplies restocked.
We would definitely stay here again. We stayed in site 9.
Beautiful place! We called ahead to see if they had sites available for the next two nights. Arrived just before the office closed at 5:45pm. The campground area past the office is electronically gated and registrants receive a scannable card for entry. Once we had scanned and entered through the gate they escorted us to our pull-through full-hookups site. The campsites are nice and wide, gravel like the roads, with wide grassy areas between and beautiful mature shade trees everywhere. Our site had a picnic table and a small fire ring. Full hookups worked fine.
The campground is next to a large corn field that has recently been cut; I suspect during the growing/harvest season there may be dust and noise from equipment, and perhaps overspray from any chemicals that are dusted on it. This time of year it was nice and quiet. The noise from the highway bordering both cornfield and campground, however, was loud and constant.
Bathrooms were clean and aerated by large fans which were loud but effective.
We would definitely stay here again.
We called ahead to see if they had sites available that night. Arrived just before the office closed at 7pm. They were ready for us and escorted us to our pull-through full-hookups site near the front of the campground. This is a huge property but laid out in different sections that each have their own flavor. The pull-throughs near the front are level, gravel pads with grass all around. Other areas are forested and some are hilly. Full-hookups worked fine. We stayed in site 121, which faces an open grassy area backed by a little forest that echoed with beautiful wildlife sounds in the evening. There are no campground lights except at the restrooms, so it’s great for stargazing! The restrooms were good.
Arrived 7pm without a reservation. Clear list of available sites, amenities and prices. Grassy gravel pad, long enough to stay hooked up and wide enough to have slides out without feeling like you’re in your neighbor’s site . Full hookups worked fine. Restrooms older but clean. Soap dispensers and towels were empty. The campground layout was meandering so it didn’t feel like a parking lot. Some sites right next to the river, some away. Where we were the freeway noise was not so bad. Would stay here again.
Arrived 2am without a reservation. Clear list of available sites and prices. Narrow paved pad, long enough to stay hooked up. Sandy gravel otherwise that turns to mud as they water the trees every night. Fine otherwise. Full hookups worked fine. Restrooms and laundry close at 5, open in the morning because you need to go into the office to get a key from them. Would stay here again.
What a beautiful little place! Green grass all over, and big shady trees. Called in just before closing and they had a site available for the night. When we arrived, they came out to meet us and escorted us to our site: pull through, full hookups. Very friendly. Sites are long and narrow, room for the slide but you’re in your neighbor’s picnic table area. Can hear the freeway noise but it’s fairly constant so it was easy to tune out. Would definitely stay here again.
Arrived 6:15pm. Called in around 5pm on a Friday and they had a site available for the night. Unclear where RVs should park to check in at the hotel lobby, but there’s a large parking area so we parked sideways through several spots. They escorted us to our site: pull through, full hookups. Sites are long with plenty of room for the slide. Can hear the noise from the idling big rigs right next to the campground. Bathrooms are in the hotel lobby, which closes at 10:30pm, or the Travel Center right next door. There’s also a Sinclair gas station on the property. Would definitely stay here again.
