Due to the excessive rainfall around the state, Marion Reservoir is currently about four feet above the normal conservation pool. Many campsites have been affected by this and had to be closed for safety. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we can get everything reopened as soon as possible.

Overview

French Creek Cove Campground offers a secluded quiet campground that is located on the Southwest side of Marion Reservoir.

Recreation

Popular activities include camping, boating, fishing and hunting. Anglers will find an abundance of channel catfish, walleye, white bass and wipers, and a boat ramp is provided at the campground for convenient access to the lake.

Natural Features

Completed in 1968, Marion Reservoir encompasses 6,200 acres of water surrounded by 6,000 acres of public lands. The surrounding expanse of forest provides visitors with endless recreational activities, set against the backdrop of the sparkling lake.

Nearby Attractions

The nearby communities of Hillsboro and Marion offer additional tourist attractions. Both cities have a nationally recognized Art and Crafts show, as well as a variety of restaurants and shops.

Awsome out of the way spot

Very nice spots, it is a cove off of the main lake nestled way back of the main, very dusty dirt road getting here but very nice spots. I go back every year.

Beautiful - WiFi is my Starlink

Great place to camp. Well worth $12 per night. Shady sites, fire rings, covered picnic tables. We didn’t fish so can’t speak to that. Easy to reserve on Reservation.gov. We will be back.

Separated RV stalls with covered concrete padio

One of the nicer lakes I’ve been to, and cheap, the road is a little rough, but it’s a neat place. Boat dock is very steep, small boats only. Pay online is very easy. Shorter RV trailers are preferred. 30 amp service.
