    Nice, scenic park!

We had a nice and cold adventure camping Easter weekend this year (March 31). Wish we would have rented one of the cute little cabins that have fire places. This park has great hiking trails.

    Nice Family Getaway

This campground was perfect for a small family reunion. We rented out their 3 cabins and had a whole area to ourselves. The kids could walk down to the sand and a bridge. Very well kept, you must clean up after yourself - which should always be the case anyway.

    Hagge County Park

    Nice smaller campground

Hagge Park has only 15 sites available with full hookups, but it is a great, quieter place than most. Nice shaded areas. There are some primitive sites too. It also has 1 cabin for rent at a reasonable price. There are restrooms & showers, but we have never used them, so I can't review them. We love hiking the trails there & almost always observe fisherman along the river. There aren't a ton of trails, but what the ones there are beautiful & well maintained. You can get a great workout😉 We will go back!

    Serene lake

This park surrounds the whole lake and you can explore everything thing by trail or water. Lots of fishing and swimming, we went looking for wildflowers along the lake trails. Even though there are tons of campsites it does not feel at all crowded. Very nice and clean.

Yay: Hard to choose a campsite, all had great views and little perks. Check out the cabins too.

    Nay: None, perfect experience!

Surprise: trails are perfect for XC skiing in winter. We saw bald eagles and deer very close to the tent.

    Smaller but nice

We have a smaller camper and got lucky to fit into a smaller spot that backed up to the woods. We both grew up around here and have always kayaked, fished, hiked, tent camped in the park. Love the scenic trails, there’s so many. Good for pictures. Also they rebuilt the boat ramp and it’s really nice now. Nice river to kayak, not as scenic as some but fun even though the rivers low. There’s 2 cabins you can rent which I did a couple times years ago, they are clean with kitchen. Overall nice park.

    We Love this park!

The RV parking area isn't really big, but all sites are great & feel private, especially the outer ones. We have never stayed in the cabins, but they look nice & well kept. Bathrooms & showers are nice. We LOVE the hiking trails. Some can be a pretty good workout & steep for a 61 year old, but they are do-able & have resting benches a long the way. There are some beautiful old bridges if you get on the right trails😁 Wifi is virtually non-existent there, but it is nice to be "unplugged" We have a DVD player & watch old movies if its raining. We wish the park cut-up it's own firewood & offered it for sale (there are plenty downed trees available) It would be an extra income for them. As it is, you can't bring in any wood outside the area because of the Elm Tree Borer possibly being transported, so you will need to go to Ft Dodge to buy some (Menards & possibly some gas stations) have bundles you can buy. It would be so much easier right at the park, like some places we go in Minnesota. We live an hour away and come just to hike sometimes. Nice, quiet place

    Spring Lake County Park

    Small place, lots to do

This place is really family friendly. Plenty of camping spaces, some right next to the lake. Swimming area, concession stand, boat rentals, and even a skating rink on the weekends. My favorite childhood camping spot.

    Spring Lake County Park

Nice park with much to do

We were lucky and got a spot right along the lake. This park is peaceful (only slight downfall is the trains you can hear a bit-not too loud though). Bike/hiking trail, disc golf, kayak/paddle boat rentals, swimming beach, historic roller skating rink, playgrounds and more-something for everyone to enjoy! Close to Jefferson which has a great coffee shop and cute shops!

    Nice park, camping below par

Most packed side by side, back to back. The few good sites are continually reseved.
Campers are loud well beyond midnight. If you like to whoop it up all night, this is the camp ground to go to, no enforcement Small lake is nice, trails are nice. Camp store and beach house (rentals) closed up long ago. 1 dump, long wait. Nearest store 10 miles away, weak cell, down in river valley.

    Very nice little park

You’ll love this little park if you want to really disconnect and get away from things as there was absolutely 0 cell reception where we were at. That’s definitely not a bad thing since that’s exactly what we were looking for!

The park was very clean and everyone we met was extremely nice! Bring some hiking equipment as well as they have multiple nice trails to go hiking on.

    Springbrook State Park Campground

    Not a fan

It was clean and looks like they are updating some of their building. The playground needs a massive makeover. Our RV was on the corner so we had a fair amount of extra room unlike some sites. A cute little beach for swimming, one main reason we picked this state park was for the kayak rentals. They were closed so we weren’t able to, which was a big disappointment.

The park is electric only with a dump station and water hydrants through out the park. We have Verizon & AT&T and had no service. This is the first place we have been to without voice service (other doesn’t matter). Just a bit worrisome in case of emergency.

Overall, there are many better state parks that I would rather go to.

    Beautiful Park

These Iowa state parks are extremely clean and well taken care of. The lake is huge with multiple trails that the kids loved. Playground was directly behind us which is a plus for us.

    Nice and clean

Nice clean park, if passing through Iowa it's a nice overnight. A little loud if tent camping. Area not large enough to separate hard shell campers and tent campers. Plenty of fly's and mosquitoes, plenty of shade.

    Not very tent friendly

This state park camp site close to Carroll, Iowa was nice, but we were the only tent campers there, it seemed more like a permanent RV home site. The bathrooms while nice had no working showers, they had showers but no way to turn on the water. There was a cute frisbee golf on property, a beautiful lake, and a nice paved walking path.

    Peace & quiet

Reserved electric unit 090 for the weekend, which had a scenic corn field for a backdrop - this is Iowa! Paved roads, level gravel sites, wide & mowed trails, clean pit toilets and a layout that isn’t too cramped. The pond has multiple shoreline fishing spots with picnic tables and a cleaning station. Basic playground in front of the beach which is a short drive or a ~1 mile trail walk away.

Prairie Rose is hidden next to a beautiful lake

I really like Prairie Rose State Park. It is about ten miles north of Interstate 80 near Harlan, Iowa. The lake is gorgeous and has many different view points. There is plenty of space and a lot of different activities. A lot of folks fish and picnic. There are also a lot of geese.

The camp sites have great views of the lake and the park was pretty empty when I visited. This park truly is a rose in the prairie.

Camp Crescent Park — Black Hawk State Park

    Nice campground

Nice level campground right on the water and in town.   Many types of sites available from full hook to dry camping.   Some paved but most are gravel sites.  Utility location did require us to use a longer hose and extension cord to reach from our site.   Nice town and trails for biking nearby.  Gets busy on the holidays and some areas are pretty tight if your pulling a large unit. The camp staff was fantastic at managing the holiday traffic and keeping the bathrooms clean.

    Perfect

Tented camped in late October, the weekend before closing.  I was only tent camper in the electric only sites.  If there was a tent only location, I didn't see it.  Those in campers that need water and electricity are regulated to gravel 'parking lot' sites.

Beautiful park with playgrounds, swim beach, fisbee golf, paved trail, many fishing bars, and more.

Electric only sites are small and spaced out well.  Most have level drive perfect for sm camper or suv camping. Grass has slope, but I think you can find a good enough place for tent, I did.  Bathroom clean enough, I didn't use showers. I enjoyed the privacy of lake-front site J.

We had a wonderful view if lake from campsite. Camp ground was kept clean. I especially liked then number of bathroom/shower combos. I have been in campgrounds where shower wasn't as private as it could be. This was great and clean.

    Kings Pointe Resort

This is a pretty awesome place. There is a lot of activities. The resort resides on Storm Lake and it’s usually pretty active. The first night we were there it actually had a very nice lightning storm.

The lake has a lot of perch, walleye, crappie and white bass. It’s not a very deep lake but has some pockets that you can find on the west side that does pretty good. There are boat ramps and parks all along the lake.

The resort is pretty huge it has an indoor and outdoor water park. The park slides are pretty fun and scary. There is also a lazy river!

The restaurant in the hotel is top notch. They served some of the best food. You won’t go hungry and the price wasn’t over priced like some resorts.

There is also a very nice large playground for kids to play on and a nice little beach to go swimming on. They clean the beach every morning but it gets pretty dirty towards the end of the day.

It doesn’t get very crowded during the week but on the weekend it picks up and a lot of people who aren’t staying at the resort show up to play in the water park.

As far as outside there are lots of trails to walk on. Tons of little parks around the lake to have picnics and town isn’t that far if you need to get coffee or groceries.

    Excellent!

It was a great time to spend in this camp and I hope that I can visit it once more this summer. I was only scared that I would miss some academic assignments during time I spent in the camp, but fortunately I found the good solution because need a professor to write my essays. I can share with you information concerning the writing service that helped me with my academic trouble. This agency is essaysprofessors.com that is reliable, cost-effective, and offered quality content. With their help, I was able to successfully complete my essay and get back on track with my academic career. I took it upon myself to spread the word, so that other students could benefit from the same quality service. I really think that thanks to my initiative, many students were able to step out of academic trouble and get back to focusing on their studies.

It's a nice place, unusual and interesting, especially for students. I spent a good time here, though I needed to do a lot of my assignments. The online nursing papers company helped me cope with them, and I was able to get rest. By the way, this company offers really good papers for reasonable prices.
