Bluffs Run RV Park at Horseshoe Casino

    Just parking lot

This basically a parking lot with rv hook ups, for the casino people. It is probably a cool place for someone spending a lot of time in casinos. It's not really a campground and there are no outdoor activities on site.

    The playground!

We stayed here one night as we were just passing through. The park is really nice and the playgrounds are the nicest I have ever seen! I even had to take my turn on the swings and down the slide. . The new campground is nice with full hook ups, however this is not your normal state park style camping. This is full on RV parking lot with campers stacked on top of each other. I’m never a fan of sitting at my picnic table to eat 8 foot away from someone dumping their sewer tanks. That’s the only con I see here. Luckily we had one of the end sites.

Only NE State park with full hook ups

RV camping at Platte River is a very new concept. Bison Campground has concrete pads with full hook ups located in a cleared area of forest on top of a hill, so there are no shade trees anywhere. Summertime would be brutal ☀️. Very clean campground but sites are very close to one another, so if you are looking for privacy this is not the place.

    Linoma Beach RV park Campground

    Not open to the public

Linoma Beach is a place that just about everybody in this area is familiar or has seen. They have a big lighthouse off the highway. Unfortunately this place is a private place. You have to rent a lot or space for a long term time period. If you can get a spot and have a rv or trailer it's a place for you or someone to look into.

    Stanton Lake Park

    Beautiful lake with walking path

This campground is mainly for Rvs. The campsites are full hook ups which are $20. The sites each have a picnic table, and fire pit. They are on pavement, level, and are kind of close together. There is a nice playground away from the sites along with a fenced in sand volleyball court. The park also has a frisbee golf course. The lake/pond has a paved sidewalk surrounding it with plenty of benches scattered to just rest or enjoy the lake and it's wildlife. You can hear the bull frogs, geese, and coyotes when the sun goes down. There is a train track behind the lake, and it seems to have a train every few hours that you can hear from your site. A couple of things that I noticed was the large number of vehicles coming through the campgrounds that were not staying hear. It was very busy and noisy. They also have 2 large fenced in dog runs for the pups.

    Very nice park

Mostly level sites with options for tenting or rv. Sites are primitive, electric only or full hookup. Several back to to the lake. The lake is great for fishing, kayaking or swimming.

    Glenwood Lake Park

    Nice little city park

A nice little city park in the Loess Hills of Iowa, it's not a destination but makes for a good overnight stop. The campground is primarily RV camping with about 20 sites with full hook ups. The tent camping is a bit vague, as all of the numbered sites had hook ups. I ended up pitching my tent in the grass as I didn't want to take the last site with hook ups when I didn't need them. There really aren't any trees for hammocks. The bathroom is secure with a coded door, and it is very clean inside although also very hot. The info on the bath house said to drop your pay envelope in the slot next door to city hall in town, which necessitates a drive back into the cute town. There is a nice walking path around the pond and some pretty neat historical buildings to explore as well.

An important note: Due to the massive and devastating flooding in the Spring (2019), most of the sites were occupied by flood victims, not just in this campground, but all along highway 29/the Loess Hills. Many campgrounds have modified their fees or closed to regular campers to provide space to families who lost their homes and farms to the Missouri River flooding.

    Cute lake near town

It’s a nice campground especially since it’s MWR. Many full hook up sites and a very nice boat house with water toy rentals. We stayed off season and the self registration is easy. Only issue we had was determining which sites were the dry lower rate sites. The tent camping is even less identifiable. It is exposed to the elements and we actually broke camp at night due to high winds. I’d like to try this place again if we are in the area again.

Felt very safe and host was amazing

We were having a hard time finding an RV park since it's the off season. This place popped up and we've been so blessed. The host was so kind and helpful to us new timers. The park is a giant loop with many potable water fountains around. The dumping station is at the front of the park. We felt super safe letting our kids roam the park. We will definitely use this park again if in the area!

    Appears to be closed

This is a rv park that is located near Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs, Ia. It appears to have the same fate as camping site at the lake. As if you drive by it, it appears to be a ghost town.

    Trippin’ thru Nebraska

Coming from MO, Nebraska is usually just a one night stop for us (as we head onto bigger and cooler states). We were happy to find this clean RV park near Nebraska City. Big, but quiet. Friendly staff. Homey. Green space. Great dog park.

    KOA Lincoln/ Omaha

Nice KOA. There is a nice playground for the children and a pool with snack bar. Management was very friendly and helpful. We had a nice end campsite that gave us extra room with full hookups. The wifi was good and we were right next to a cell tower. They also had some nice cabins!

Long term RV camping close to several stores and businesses

Longterm and Short term RV camping in a newer part of town. all the hookups. Sites are directly behind a Dollar General and across the highway from the grocery and Shopko.

Auburn has a golf course and a decent disc golf course.

Good fishing in the Rotary lake.

    Good Enough for Overnight RVers

This is my first time staying at a KOA, and I think it’s fine for an overnight RV stay, but I definitely wouldn’t make an entire trip of it. The campground is crowded and the sites are very crammed together. I believe all of the sites have full hookups (power/water/sewer) which is nice if you’ve been without for a few days like I had. I can’t comment on the bathrooms, didn’t use them. The playground and other amenities looked extremely old, rickety and borderline hazardous. The noise from I-80 is definitely present and pervasive, but I didn’t hear it from my RV. Like others have mentioned, the entrance to the campground is next to a blind hill, but it’s not impossible to see oncoming traffic.

Starlink is hit and miss, lot of trees.

Very nice and cheap. 8 for camping, 12 with electric and 18 full hookups. That’s a great price for the view. I will definitely be back when it’s greener. Verizon is 2 bars of 4g. And Starlink is only possible in select places, as there is a lot of trees. It’s January, so I chose my spot for the internet.

Nice stop on our way to Kansas

We needed an overnight stop on our way to Kansas and this KOA was perfect. We pulled in just after dark and there was a note on the door stating staff was limited due to Covid. We pulled into a very large pull through on the west side of the campground (site 16). The KOA was pretty full but everyone was respectful and we didn’t hear much noise. We had full hookups & the site we were in was spacious with a picnic table and fire ring with grate. It had rained quite a bit before we arrived so we didn’t sit outside, due to mud close by our site, but we had a nice view. The next morning, we paid at the office before we left & the Manager only charged us half price (we intended to pay the full price) because he felt bad for not being able to be on site when we arrived (the schedule on the KOA app said staffed until 7pm & we were there just after 6pm).

    Nothing Special

Don't expect peace & quiet. This place is sandwiched in between I-80 and the I- 80 Speedway. Even w/ full hookups it's a bit overpriced. Overnight stay for us, will not be back.

No tents or mini vans allowed

No mini van life converters with no bathroom allowed. Their toilets and showers are down. Wide open, no shade trees, next to Missouri River and 4 stars for rv camping. Very easy to find with directions posted on this site. Otherwise ... no rv or camper ... turn around.

Perfect spot to explore Omaha and the Great Plains

Platte River State Park is a beautiful, full service park with plenty of amenities. There are playgrounds and a splash pad for the kids, canoe rentals, and plenty of trails to hike or bike. Sites are concrete pads with full hookups and include a fire ring and picnic table. The campground also has a bathroom and dog park. 5 bars of AT&T @ 120Mbps!

Not worth the money or the headache

If I could give this place a more negative star review I seriously would. We came here on August 1st 2021 with plans to stay for the Winter. The sites for big rigs are not 3 axle friendly. The site provided was not long or wide enough. The electrical box, water and sewer are placed too far to the rear of the site for a big rig to make a wide enough turn to miss a tree that really was planted in the wrong place. To make a long story shorter the tree damaged our roof and rear awning. The lady owner is very unpredictable. She came driving over on her golf cart and threw our electrical cable over our swamp drain hose breaking it.. She yelled at me stating that these need to be off the grass. Didn't say she was sorry for damaging the hose.. My wife and daughter were yelled at by her for no apparent reason(Daughters van was parked in back of our rig). I've heard from other people in the park that she has an alcohol problem and apparently enjoys yelling at her customers while she's drunk. I think the women that work in the office are afraid of her. This place is way overpriced for what you get. The showers are not cleaned regularly and the drain is constantly clogged. The RV park that we stayed at in TX was way better priced and had better service. At the end of September we had to take our rig in for repair. My wife went into the office and informed Jan. She let her know that we would like to have a different site to alleviate damaging our rig again. I informed another one of the ladies in the office that we would like a different site because we don't want to damage the trailer again. I came in approximately October 3 and paid my overpriced monthly bill and was charged a electrical deposit again. I asked the lady in the office why we were and she had no idea. I reiterated the moving to a different site again and asked where the owner was to discuss it with her and was told that she was not available. She was cutting the grass and could not be bothered. The very next day I got a call from Jan telling me they refunded our money for the month and was not welcome back. When I asked her why the hell we were kicked out of the park the gave me this totally lame excuse. They said my wife was argumentative. Really? My wife hates conflict. I never heard such a stupid thing in my life. We just wanted a wider and longer site to put our rig on and this is how we're treated. All I can say is you people are a piece of work. I told my wife I wouldn't use profanity in this review but you can screw yourself and the horse you rode in on. Feel sorry for the horse

    Great place!

We only stayed here one night but would have gladly stayed longer. We didn't use everything but it seems to have all the amenities you might need - full hookups, propane, showers, laundry, dog park, play space for kids.

We were pretty close to our neighbors but not so close that it felt uncomfortable. Staff accommodated our need for a late check-in and even called to make sure we knew how to get to our site.

Really beautiful surrounding landscape and not too much road noise. Not sure if that might change depending on the site.

All in all, a good experience!
