Wakpicada Natural Area

Within Wakpicada Natural Area, this established campground operates year-round under Linn County Conservation Board management. Sites sit directly adjacent to a pond with substantial tree cover providing natural shade. Both drive-in and walk-in access options accommodate different camping preferences.

The campground maintains spacing between individual sites rather than clustering them together. Anglers can target bass and panfish from the pond shoreline. Standard amenities include picnic tables, fire rings with available firewood, and trash service. Cell service reaches the area, and both pets and alcohol are permitted. For different camping experiences, Firefly Campground at Pinicon Ridge sits 1.4 miles north.

Well kept with good fishing

Went when it was 110 degrees with humidity. Campsites right next to the pond and good tree cover made the experience fun anyway. Good bass and panfish fishing with quiet campgrounds that aren’t right next to each other. I consider it a little hidden gem
