The veiws are good but this host ..

We wear trying to enjoy are stay we traveled a long way and we thought we would stop in for a weekend stay while we wear stay the host greeted us and we wear already paid and everything was fine that night we decided to cook dinner and feed our two kids while we wear cooking the camp ground host for whatever reason decided to be a pain she was swearing at us she also brought with her and older man maybe her husband or friend not sure Wich but he smelled like he had a few  to drink I don't know how much and I can't claim to know how much he and his wife knocked over are food that was on our table telling me and my wife to leave when I asked why she louder said it doesn't fucking matter I'm the host of this camping grounds and claims our two kids age 13 and 10 wear watching our TV that is outside attached to our camper unit she called my kids little devils lol 😂 seriously 😒 so I told her to take her and her husband home that we rented this spot and this was about early evening before quite times were in place I told her no rules wear broken but clearly ur drinking and need to just go back to your site ...so the next am came and I was getting ready to leave I wasn't about to deal with her and her friend or husband for a 2nd night so she came over to our site again as wear leaving and says I thought I told you to leave ....I said mam we are leaving please just go back to ur host site and we will be gone in an HR or so she said we weren't welcome back and that we need to be better parents and gave us a few colorful words of encouragement 😂 anyways I don't know if this is the normal hear but we won't be back until theirs a different person . Good luck fellow campers.happy travels .

Small Wooded Campground

Oelwein City Park campground on the shore of little Lake Oelwein is a great place to stay on ‘your way’ or for a week. $17 or $15 (senior)/night. 30/50 amp service with city water and dump station. Spacious wooded gravel sites. Older shower house but clean. Quiet and picturesque. Camp host on site. 2 pull thrus available. No reservations. Cash or check.
