Just over a mile from downtown Oelwein, this city park campground sits along the shore of Lake Oelwein with gravel sites spread through wooded areas. The facility operates from April through November with both 30 and 50-amp electrical service, city water hookups, and an on-site dump station. Sites accommodate RVs with two pull-through options available for larger rigs.
A camp host stays on-site during operating season, and the older shower house receives regular cleaning according to recent visitors. Rates run $17 per night or $15 for seniors, with payment accepted in cash or check only. No reservations are accepted, making this a first-come basis operation. Campers needing alternatives can check Lakeshore RV Resort and Campground nearby for a different setup.
