Amaña Colonies Camping

Great all around park. Grass and gravel sites with plenty of room for your rig. The sites are wide open and generally level, in and out is a breeze. 30 minute walk to the idyllic town of Amaña.

Basic, full hookup CG.

Relatively wide open, sites adjacent to one another. Utilities all worked fine, decently maintained. Non-camper traffic is annoying (event center inside CG), lots of people well above ppsted 10 mph limit. Recommend getting site well away from any of the entrances or roads that lead to event center.

Very convenient for visiting the Amana Colonies.

We tent camped here for two nights so we could visit the Amana Colonies. This is an RV park with tent sites on the lawn around the perimeter. A bit of a walk to the bathroom and showers, but the sites were level with short grass. The bathrooms and showers were very clean, and everyone was extremely friendly. The only drawback was that the tent sites don’t have picnic tables, but for two nights we made it work. We’d stay here again.

Near the Amana Colony.

Nice being near the town. Camp ground wide open feel, because not many large trees yet. Enjoyed our stay there.

Functional but Barren

The campground is great for RVs and anybody who has a setup that doesn't rely on shaded areas. They hosts had a super efficient hygiene protocol to get you to your spot. Campground is a nice bike ride away from the Amana villages and overall a great base camp

Super convenient and easy

Wide open park with very very easy access. The people running the place were incredibly friendly and helpful, the park is very close to the “attractions” which looked very cool. We only stayed one night on our trek out west but got to try the Ronneburg restaurant which was some great home style German American food with local meats. We had an incredible, undisrupted view of the stars at night which thrilled my daughter who brought a small telescope, and plenty of open space for running without disrupting other campers.

The down sides of the park were that the roads and pads are gravel so I could see it becoming an issue during weather but we didn’t have much trouble leveling.

Great stopover to visit Amana Colonies

This is a great location right in the Amana Colonies to explore the area. There are sites for tents up to big rigs. They have showers and laundry and the folks are very nice. There are some trees scattered throughout the campground but mostly wide open. Services work well and wifi is strong. Only minus is that most roads are gravel and if it rains alot, there are puddles everywhere and it is pretty soft coming in and out of sites.
