Warning 3 Alerts are In Effect

There are 3 alerts for this campground. Camp safely!

Clean-up progress continues in the equestrian campground after a tornado came through in May 2025. All primitive horse camp sites are available for reservations, but only a handful of the electric horse camp sites are available at this time. Electric sites 89 - 107 can be reserved online. An additional block of electric horse camp sites are available as first-come, first-serve for walk-in registrations only, allowing the customer to see the damaged area firsthand before to determine firsthand if they want to stay in the horse camp. Many volunteers and staff have come together to dedicate a lot of resources toward the tree and debris removal, repairing the comfort station, and preparing the sites for campers again. Please contact the park with any specific questions, and please understand this is an ongoing work in progress. Check back here or on Facebook for updates.

Visitors and campground users should note that GPS directions may not always send you to the correct entrances.

All RVs and vehicles towing trailers MUST use the park's west entrance on State Road 46 two miles west of Nashville, Indiana. The park's north entrance east of Nashville has a historic covered bridge with a 9-foot height clearance and 3-ton weight limit. Oversized vehicles cannot use the north entrance.

The Great Smokies of the midwest

This beautiful park does not seem to belong in the Midwest.  Our family returns at least once a year for the scenery and biking.  We generally use the Rally group campsite and invite our friends to join us.  This site is great due to the extra room for tents and proximity to the mountain bike trails.  Keep in mind that these sites run a lot more per night and additional occupants that show are expected to pay the park over and above the daily rate.  Also the park does not allow usage of the campground shower facilities if you stay on a Rally site.

We have also stayed in both the electric and primitive sites.  Both are very nice and allow use of the nicest campground shower facilities around.

This campground is busy all season so book a long time in advance.  Also they are very strict about dogs even in the large open areas so beware to keep them on leash at all times.  No frisbee or fetch games allowed.
