Heated shower facilities: Campers consistently praise the cleanliness and comfort of shower facilities at Bald Eagle Campground and Cabins. "This campground is the largest RV campground in the park. A portion of this campground is sectioned off for the season, though plenty of spacious sites are available that include: fire pit, tables, water, electric, hard pads, firewood, available, heated shower house, very clean," according to James M.
Year-round operations: Unlike seasonal options, some facilities remain open throughout winter. "This was a great one night stay. We were in site #5 FHU. Easy and friendly check in. Nice lake in park. Lake activities: The region offers multiple lake-based recreation options. "Fished here for a few years but camped here for the first time with my travel trailer this year. The campground is well laid out. Seasonal closures: Park Terrace Campground - West Lake Park operates from April 15 to October 15. "Sadly lost many ash trees, but still has some shade. Decent shower restroom building. Campground flat with electric, water and sewer at sites. Very reasonable rates. Open year around. Park has five small lakes for fishing and boating, easy hiking trails and a tough disc golf course," notes Jerome B.
Insect management: During summer months, insects can be troublesome. "They have gnats that are a real pest, but at the camp office they sell a gnat replant that works great. If you go pick some up while you are signing in," advises Shanon P. about Bald Eagle Campground.
Noise levels: Some campgrounds experience more road noise than others. "Loud loud loud!!! If you are hard sided and well insulated and you run the A/C unit all night this might be a nice place; for us in a pop up (this is 'camping out', right?) parking at Walmart would have been a quieter option," cautions Robert C. about Summit Campground.

Swimming access: Spring Lake Campground offers water recreation suitable for families. "I've stayed here every summer great place lots todo with the kids had a lake to fish, kayak, canoe. Has and outdoor skating rink next to the lake very neat," recommends Taylor A.

Playground facilities: Multiple campgrounds feature playground equipment. "We loved the helpful service from the owner as he helped us get settled in. It was our first time there and it was a great visit. The showers at the main lodge were AMAZING. We forgot our grill but thankfully their fire pits have a built in grill which saved us so much," reports Chole C. about Haven Hills Campground and Resort.

Sewage hookup locations: Pay attention to utility placement when positioning your RV. "Spots are close, but level. Sewage located well to rear of most campsites, so back way in. Great staff, prices are wonderful. Water is clear and tasteless so good for filling my tank," advises Gena B. about Park Terrace Campground.
Site spacing considerations: Shady Lakes Campground provides recreational options beyond your campsite. "You can you can rent a paddle boat or canoe from the main office and there is also a nice swimming pool. They have events in the hall like bingo and also serve breakfast on the weekends," shares Cassidy L.

"The park is very well patrolled by the Park Rangers, you see them driving around all the time to check and make sure everything is in order. We rode around on our electric bikes, strolling through the campgrounds, stopping at the lake to take in the view, stopping at the memorial to check it out," explains M E. about Bald Eagle Campground.
