Lake Cascade State Park's West Mountain Campground sits directly on the water, with sites close enough to the lake that kayaking and fishing are accessible from the campground itself. The single loop is fairly small, which keeps the layout compact. Sites have reasonable spacing and moderate tree cover. One consistent note from campers: West Mountain Road runs alongside the campground, and traffic noise carries through even at night. Directions

Huckleberry, Buttercup, West Mountain, Poison Creek and Poison Creek Boat Ramp Area: Are all on the west side of the lake. The easiest way to reach this is through Donnelly. Turn west on Roseberry Rd., off of Highway 55. Turn south (left) on West Mountain Rd. Huckleberry will be the first campground you reach and it will be on the east (left) side of the road. The other campgrounds are further south, within a few miles of each other, and also on the east (left) side of the road.

Decent spot

Pretty good campsite. Fire pit and picnic table at the site (site #150). Sites are quite close together so hopefully you have good neighbors.

Solid Place To Relax

We really enjoyed testing our new RV to West Mountain! Just load up the grub and hit the road!

The camp sites were clean, quiet and very close to the water. We are planning to come back in the summer and bring friends for a nice trip of kayaking and fishing right off the beach.

Nice spot

I’ve always wanted to stay in this stretch of Lake Cascade. Camp ground was fairly small with only one loop, made it very cozy. Sites had plenty of room and an ok amount of trees. Camp ground is right on the lake. Only real downfall other than no power (if you need it) is that the campground sits right off of west mountain rd. And there is quite a bit of noise from traffic even at night. Otherwise we really enjoyed it.
