Great views but wet

With the lake high right now Several sites are closes due to Being underneath water, only about half of the sites are available. That could change once the water is let out of the dam.

Buttercup Campground sits directly on the shoreline of Lake Cascade, offering immediate access to the water. Many campsites have lake views, and the campground features a sandy beach area that becomes more expansive in late summer as water levels drop. Water levels fluctuate seasonally due to dam operations, which can affect beach access and occasionally even cause some campsites to be underwater during high water periods in early summer. By late summer, the receding water reveals more of the sandy beach area, providing excellent swimming and water recreation opportunities just steps from your campsite.
