Papoose Campground

Within Nezperce National Forest, Papoose Campground provides a straightforward camping option for visitors exploring Idaho's mountainous terrain. This US Forest Service facility sits directly off a gravel road, featuring leveled gravel pads that can accommodate RVs up to 18 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections.

The campground's mountain setting offers open views, though one recent visitor noted the absence of nearby water sources despite the site's water hookups. The facility includes modern amenities like restrooms, showers, and WiFi, with reservations available for those planning ahead. Campers can also find campgrounds around Riggins for additional options in the region. The gravel pad design allows flexibility for multiple groups or larger parties sharing the space.

Small simple level ground

Looks like a newer camp area right off the gravel road. Just a leveled packed gravel pad. Big enough for two separate groups or one larger group. Beautiful up in the mountains. No amenities. No water found anywhere close.

SiteNo marked spots.
