Riverside RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Riverside RV Park sits along the bank of the Little Salmon River in Riggins, Idaho, with full hookup sites running $60 per night. The layout is compact: one narrow row of sites positioned between the river and Highway 95, which runs above on a cliff and contributes less road noise than the setup might suggest. Reservations are available, and the park operates year-round.

Sites include electric, water, and sewer hookups, plus WiFi and picnic tables. No fire pits are provided, and there are no shower or restroom facilities on-site, so campers need to rely on their rigs. Site 8 is specifically noted by reviewers for being directly on the river, with enough room to fit a 31-foot fifth wheel. The riverbank drops several feet without a fence, which is worth noting for families with small children.

Anglers tend to find the location useful. Both the Little Salmon and the Salmon Rivers are within reach for fly fishing, and the park's boat-in access adds another option for getting to the water. Riggins itself is walkable from the campground, with restaurants, grocery stores, and gas available in town, making this a functional base for those exploring camping near Riggins. As one reviewer noted, the river is "several feet down with no fence," a detail worth factoring into site selection.

Campers wanting a different setup nearby can look at Big Eddy's RV Park to the north or Short's Bar Recreation Area for a more dispersed alternative.

Campers regularly cited the spectacular riverside location with soothing water sounds and well-maintained sites offering full hookups. However, some visitors expressed disappointment with restrictive booking policies and the absence of restroom facilities.

I went to book this for a weekend for a family trip in the summer.. They do not have any tent spots. She was OK with our motorhome and one tent but the minute I said we had two kids and two small tents. She immediately informed me that she would not be renting to us.

Beautiful campground

What a gem! Next to the Little Salmon River, stand on the bank and watch and hear the River rush by. Lush green grass and picnic tables. Look up to the canyon myna/hill tops all green. Gentle breeze blowing through. I wish I could stay a week but must push on if I am to explore America via the backroads. Don't miss this gem. $35/night!

Beautiful and Inexpensive

We stayed in site 8 (full hookups) which is on the river. The view of the river was so spectacular. The river is several feet down with no fence so not the best space if you have young kids (which we don't). The site was large enough to park our 31ft 5th wheel. We had a small lawn for our dog. Easy in/out access through the park. Town with gas, groceries, and restaurants close by. The park was very lovely and maintained. Just a note there isn't shower/restrooms facilities in the park so you will need to use your rigs. We would definitely stay again.

RV Paradise in Riggins, ID Next to the Little Salmon

This RV Park is a little gem in Riggins, ID. Nestled next to the Little Salmon River, the sound of the river at your campsite is so soothing! The campground itself is narrow with only one row of sites available. It is situated between the Little Salmon River and HWY 95 (Main St.) you don't get much highway noise because Main St. is up high on a cliff which blocks the noise. Each site has a picnic table but no fire pit. It is $30/night and well worth it! Most sites have full hook up with cable TV and Wi-Fi available. This campground makes for a great home base for those that want to fly fish the Little Salmon and Salmon Rivers. You can also walk to downtown Riggins for a bite to eat or do some shopping :-) We had a great view of the Little Salmon River from the rear of our travel trailer. We would DEFINITELY stay at this campground again!
